1. Product Overview Digital VTS1500A (2.0) has functions of calling user, unlocking VTO, and monitoring VTO, fence station, IPC and etc. It can be used in residence with management center or without management center since it has flexible applications. 1.1. Front Panel The product front panel is shown in Figure 1-1. Figure 1-1 Please refer to the following sheet for detailed information. No. Name Description 1 Unlock Button You can press this button to unlock under monitoring, incoming call and calling. 2 Speaker Button You can press this button to switch from handset to speaker during incoming call and handset call. 3 Mechanical Keypad It supports input of 0~9, symbol (*, #),,, and. 4 Handset You can pick up handset to answer call when there is incoming call. 5 Speaker It is audio output. Speaker is at the rear of device. 6 Mic It is audio input. Mic is at the bottom of device. 1

Rear Panel The product rear panel is shown in Figure 1-2. 2. Quick Guide This chapter mainly introduces wiring, network config and etc of digital VTS. Please read the following contents carefully. Warning Before debugging, staff shall be familiar with various information, understand the device installation, wiring and usage. Before debugging, check if there is short circuit or open circuit. Plug device to power only when all checks are done. After debugging, clean up the site (including device fixing and etc.). 2.1. Typical Application Digital VTS is usually installed at the manager center of a residence community which controls all VTHs and VTOs in the residence. The typical application is shown in Figure 2-1. 2.2. Network Config Before using VTS, you must properly configure network parameter. Digital VTS default IP address is 192.168.1.109. Step 1. In device s main interface, press settings, and project. Input password (initial password is 002236) to enter project interface. See Figure 2-2. Figure 2-2 Step 2. In local info interface, set no., IP address, subnet mask, and gateway according to actual environment. If there is more than one VTS in the residence community, then each VTS shall have different no. If VTS is registered at management center, than no. parameter must match Figure 2-7. Figure 2-5 Step 4. In VTS setting interface, input VTMS IP address. Please refer to Ch 2.3. Step 5. In IPC setting interface, fill in IP address of network camera, input username and password. Digital VTS supports a max of 32 network cameras. After you successfully add, you can immediately view video from added network camera. 2.3. Management Center Digital VTS may register at VTMS, ICMS center, or not since it can run independently without limit on function. To register VTS at VTMS: Step 1. On PC, install VTMS. Double click on starts., click on start service. VTMS Step 2. On PC, install VTMS client. Double click on, in pop-up box, input username, password, IP address, port and other parameters. Click on login. Default username and password are admin and 123. Please change your password after first login. See Figure 2-6. 6

3. Basic Config 3.1. Login After device boots up, you can see login interface as in Figure 3-1. Input username, password, and click on login. Digital VTS s initial username and password are admin and 123456. Please change your password after first login. If new user is created, you may login via new username and password. To add new user or change password, please refer to settings>project>user management. Figure 3-1 3.2. Monitoring Please refer to Ch 4.2. 3.3. Call In call interface, there are two tabs as dial and records. Dial Please refer to Ch 4.1. 8

Records In records interface, you can view missed call, accepted call and dialed call. Double click on a record to call (cannot call VTO). in icon means there is missed call. icon in record interface means there is unread record. 3.4. Settings Figure 3-2 Display Adjust display brightness, 1~9 levels. Level 9 is the highest brightness. Adjust screensaver waiting time to 1m, 2m, 5m, 10m, 15m, 30m and never. For example, when screensaver is 5m and you have left the device idle for 5m, screensaver will be enabled. You have to login again to use the device. Ring Set incoming ring, touch sound and adjust ring volume (including touch sound and speaker). Talk Set ring time at VTO, ring time at VTH, VTO talk time, VTH talk time and monitoring time. 9

Clean Touch Screen After screen is locked, you can clean screen. Press unlock button to return. Default Please refer to Ch 4.4. Project You need password to enter project. Initial password is 002236. Please refer to Ch 2.2. Select project>user management to add user. For restoring default settings, please refer to Ch 4.3. 10

4. Basic Functions 4.1. Call Function You can press speaker button to use speaker instead of handset during a call. You can talk via handset by picking up handset instead of using speaker or MIC. VTS Calls VTH Step 1. Pick up handset, system will automatically go to dial. Step 2. Press speaker, system will automatically go to dial. Step 3. Press call tab, select dial to go to dial. In dial interface, input room of resident and press call button to call VTH of the resident. You must enter room number in the following format as in Figure 4-1. Figure 4-1 VTH Calls VTS Resident can call VTS via button on VTH. And VTS can accept the call or hand up. See Figure 4-2. 11

4.2. Monitoring Function In monitoring interface, you can see added VTO, IP camera, fence station as in Figure 4-4. According to building, unit and station, VTO has three sub-menus. User can use the sub-menu to locate designated VTO and press it to monitor. See Figure 4-5. represents at least one of VTOs, IPCs, fence stations and VTSs is disconnected. Figure 4-4 Figure 4-5 13

If there is more than one VTO in a unit of building, press last channel, next channel to switch. 4.3. Unlocking Function When VTA is monitoring, called, you can press unlock button to unlock. 4.4. Default In settings interface, there is a default function which varies from default function in project interface. In settings interface, default function restores display setup, ring setup and talk setup to default. In project interface, default function restores all settings of project to default. 14
