IMPORTANT NOTE: Charge for at least 5 6 hours before using. If your device makes a loud buzzing noise, the battery power is too low. To charge your device, plug the charging cable into the power input on the right-hand side on the back of the device. While charging, the red indicator light will be on. SETTING THE TIME AND DATE The time, date, and temperature will all be displayed on the front LCD display. The first time you plug in the mini clock travel, the LCD display will count upward 0 9. The LCD display will rotate between time, date, and temperature. The temperature default is Celsius and the time default is Military. 1. Push the SET button again. There should be a 1 blinking on the left side of the LCD display. This is the month. 2. Push the UP or DOWN button until the number on the left side reads the current month. 3. Push the SET button again. There should be a 1 blinking on the right side of the LCD display. This is the day. 4. Push the UP or DOWN button until the number on the right side reads the current day. Battery Input for USB cable and charging cable Five buttons that you need for setting up the mini clock travel are located on the back of the device: TIME DOWN UP SET MODE First, you will set the year. Third, you will set the time. 1. Push the SET button again. The hour should be blinking. 2. Push the UP or DOWN button until the LCD display reads the current hour. 3. Push the SET button again. The minutes should be blinking. 4. Push the UP or DOWN button until the LCD display reads the current minute. Charging Indicator Light Camera 1. Push the SET button on the back of the device. 2010 should be blinking on the LCD display. 2. Push the UP button on the back of the device until the LCD display reads the current year. Second, you will set the month and day. Time Tip Switching from Military to Civilian Time 2. Push the UP button to switch between civilian (12:00) and military (24:00). If the time is after noon, the PM light should be on.
Temperature Tip Switching from Celsius to Fahrenheit 2. Push the DOWN button to switch between degrees Celsius and degrees Fahrenheit. SETTING THE ALARM 2. There are 6 rings from which to choose Rings 1 5 are nature sounds. Ring 6 is a repetitive buzz. 10. Push the MODE button on the back of the device to exit the alarm. OPERATING THE MINI CLOCK TRAVEL PORTABLE DVR PREPARING THE DEVICE FOR USE Indicator Light MicroSD Card Slot On / Off Switch 1. Be sure the small white switch located beneath the plastic battery panel and to the left of the power input is switched from OFF to ON. 2. Insert a MicroSD card into the slot located to the left of the on / off switch. 3. Make sure your mini clock travel has been fully charged. 4. Place the device where you want to record. USING THE REMOTE The remote includes five buttons: Power Motion Detection Video Recording Still Photos HOW TO TURN THE CAMERA ON 1. Push the POWER button on the remote until the blue indicator light on the back of the mini clock turns on. HOW TO VIDEO RECORD 1. Push the VIDEO RECORDING button on the remote. 2. The blue indicator light will flash 3 times before turning off. 3. The camera is now recording live video. 4. Push the VIDEO RECORDING button on the remote to stop live video recording. 5. The blue indicator light should turn on. HOW TO TAKE STILL SHOTS 1. Push the STILL PHOTOS button on the remote. 2. The blue indicator light should blink once. 3. The camera has taken a still photo. HOW TO USE MOTION DETECTION 1. Push the MOTION DETECTION button on the remote. 2. The blue indicator light will stay on until the camera detects motion. 3. Once motion is detected, the blue indicator light will blink and turn off, which means the camera is recording. 4. Push the MOTION DETECTION button on the remote again to turn off the motion detection recording. HOW TO TURN THE CAMERA OFF 1. Push the POWER button on the remote until the blue indicator light on the back of the mini clock turns off.
HOW TO RESET THE TIME AND DATE STAMP (Windows Only) 1. Connect the device to your PC using the USB Cable 2. Go to http://www.mgidownloads.com/ 3. Click on "WriteTime.exe" IMPORTANT NOTICE: You might receive a warning that this program contains a virus. Disregard this warning. The program is safe to use. 4. Go to Start > Computer > Downloads > Open WriteTime.exe HOW TO RETRIEVE FILES TO PC 2. Be sure the on / off switch is set to ON. 3. Connect the mini clock travel to your PC using the USB cable. 4. Push the POWER button on the remote. The blue indicator light should be on. AutoPlay Window > Open folder to view files 5. Open the DCIM folder to retrieve your files. 6. Your files can play in Windows Media Player or (preferably) a VLC Player. NOTICE: A small CD-ROM may have come with your mini clock travel kit. This contains drivers for older computer operating systems that may not properly support the mini clock travel. 5. Click "Run" 6. The program will automatically detect 7. Click "Update" Or... TROUBLESHOOTING THE DEVICE WON T TURN ON Remove the plastic slip between the battery and the connection. Check to see if the on / off switch is set to ON. Charge the device for at least 5 hours before the first use. Make sure the charging cable is securely inserted into the device and into the power source. THE DEVICE ISN T CHARGING Replace the battery. Replace the charging cable. THE BLUE INDICATOR LIGHT IS FLASHING RAPIDLY This is the low power reminder. Restart and charge the camera. The device cannot read the SD card. You need to format the card. There is no SD card in Insert an SD card. THE DEVICE IS MAKING A LOUD BUZZING SOUND The device is not fully charged. Allow the device to charge for at least 5 hours before first use. THE REMOTE CONTROL WON T WORK Remove the plastic slip between the battery and the connection. Replace the battery. MY COMPUTER DOESN T RECOGNIZE THE DEVICE Press the POWER button on the remote after you connect the mini clock travel to your PC. Check that the MicroSD card is in the device. Try using another USB slot on your PC. Replace the USB cable. THE TIME DISPLAY IS UNCLEAR The device needs charging. THE SOUND OR VIDEO IS UNCLEAR The device needs charging. You need to delete files off the SD card.
