1 Scenario Installation of TREX for CAF 7.00. 2 Introduction This document describes the installation of TREX server for CAF 7.00. Prerequisite is that CAF 7.00 is installed (i.e. needed NW04s components like J2EE/WebAS engine 7.00, appropriate database, CAF). 3 Install TREX server for CAF 3.1 Start SAPInst 1. Start from the installation master DVD the sapinst. Choose at the starting dialog the TREX Installation Central Instance. - 1 -

2. Choose the mounted Trex installation DVD. 3. Continue: choose next. 4. Choose the SAP System ID. - 2 -

5. Choose local installation. 6. Specify passwords for the system administrator and service user. 7. Accept settings and press next. - 3 -

8. Check install Http server and click next. 9. In our case as the Trex and our Netweaver Runtime are located on the same maschine we dont need to configure a Proxy. 10. Choose needed languages to support. - 4 -

11. Check all settings and press start for starting the installation. 12. After installation is running a few minutes you have to choose the Pythoon Folder on the Trex Installation DVD and continue installation with ok Note: I had to copy the folder to the harddrive to continue!! - 5 -

13. After installation is running a few seconds you have to choose the Trex Folder (where the binaries are stored) on the Trex Installation DVD and continue installation with ok --> Note: I had to copy the folder to the harddrive to continue!! 14. After installation is running a few seconds you have to choose the Lexicon Folder on the Trex Installation DVD and continue installation with ok --> Note: I had to copy the folder to the harddrive to continue!! - 6 -

15. After installation is running a few seconds you have to choose the Filter Folder on the Trex Installation DVD and continue installation with ok --> Note: I had to copy the folder to the harddrive to continue!! 16. If installation is done commit with ok. Appendix - 7 -
