Active Demand Response on controllable loads Scenario: Offer Active Demand Response service to AAU Micro Grid Simulation > allow to control remote non critical loads (such as lights, HVAC, kitchen appliances etc.) to maintain self sustainability bases on battery State of Charge Step 1: Battery SoC reaches 50% > AAU requests consumption reduction from CERTH Value Added service Step 2: V A Service > requests friend devices of specific load type & fetches current status (on/off state, set point, consumption measurements etc.) Step 3: The V A service : decides on required control actions per device (e.g. dim/turn off lights) based on business logic (e.g. building occupancy levels) sends control requests to devices Step 4: Devices at UNIKL Light bulb dimmed/ turned off Step 4: Devices at CERTH Lights are dimmed/turned off HVAC temperature reduced/off Smart plug loads turned off Step 4: Devices at Gorenje Smart Oven: cooking paused Slide 17
