Harvard University HSA Guide HOW DO I LOG ON TO HOME PAGE? 1. Go to www.benstrat.com/clientlink_harvard.php 2. Click the Benefit Strategies Secure Account Login link 3. Enter your username and password (if you do not have a username and password, see below for How Do I Setup a Username and Password ) 4. Click Login The Home Page is easy to navigate: Easily access the Available Balance and I Want To sections The I Want To section contains the most frequently used options within the Consumer Portal. Available Balance links to the Account Summary page, where you can see and manage your accounts. The Tasks section displays alerts and relevant links that enable you to keep current on your accounts. The Quick View section graphically displays some of your key account information. You can also hover over and click on the tabs at the top. HOW DO I CREATE A USERNAME AND PASSWORD? 1. Go to www.benstrat.com/clientlink_harvard.php 2. Click the Benefit Strategies Secure Account Login link 3. Click the Create your new username and password link 4. Enter your First Name, Last Name, Zip Code (use the zip code you have stored in PeopleSoft), and SSN (Employee ID is not an option). Click Next 5. Choose the security questions you wish to use and fill in your answers. IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE THAT I NEED TO DO? Check Tasks (all messages are unique to each person s file) o Have you downloaded the Mobile app for quick easy access to your account balance? o Have you set up Direct Deposit to get your money faster? HOW DO I UPDATE MY PERSONAL PROFILE? 1. Under the Profile tab you will find links to update profile information including phone number, e-mail address, dependents, and beneficiaries. 2. Click the appropriate link for your updates: Update Profile, Add/Update Dependent, or Add Beneficiary. Some profile changes will require you to answer additional security questions.

HOW DO I CHANGE MY LOGIN AND/OR PASSWORD? 1. Under the Profile tab click Login Information on the lefthand navigation bar. 2. Click Change Password or Change Username. HOW DO I SET UP DIRECT DEPOSIT? 1. Under the Profile tab click Banking/Cards on the lefthand navigation bar. 2. Click Add Bank Account. HOW DO I REPORT A DEBIT CARD MISSING AND/OR REQUEST A NEW CARD? 1. Under the Profile tab click Banking/Cards on the left-hand navigation bar. 2. Under the Debit Cards column, click Report Lost/Stolen or Order Replacement. HOW DO I REQUEST A DISTRIBUTION? 1. Click Make HSA Transaction under the I Want To section. 2. Complete the fields as prompted. You may choose to receive a disbursement issued to yourself or someone else. DID YOU KNOW: You can use your HSA Debit Card to pay for your medical expenses directly from your HSA.

CAN I CONTRIBUTE MORE FUNDS TO MY HSA OTHER THAN PAYROLL DEPOSITS? Yes! You may contribute to your HSA by transferring from your personal bank account, and then report that contribution on your tax returns to claim your deduction at tax filing time. 1. Click Make HSA Transaction under the I Want To section. 2. If you have a bank account on file, choose that as the From (see How Do I Set Up Direct Deposit if you do not have direct deposit set up). 3. You may make a one-time or recurring contribution as you wish. Complete the transaction information and follow the remaining steps of the online HSA transaction wizard. 4. Funds will be debited from your personal bank account within two (2) business days of your request and will be available in your HSA as soon as it is deposited. ALL HEALTH CARE EXPENSE ACTIVITY IN ONE PLACE To view and manage all health care expense activity from every source, use the Dashboard 1. The Dashboard tab provides you with an easy-to-use consolidated view of health care expenses for ongoing management of medical, dental, and vision claims as well as card transactions. 2. Easily filter expenses by clicking on the filter options on the left-hand navigation pane or by clicking on the field headers. 3. You can search for specific expenses using the search field on the bottom left-hand side of the screen. 4. Expenses can be exported into an Excel spreadsheet by clicking on the Export Expenses button on the upper left-hand side of the page. HOW DO I PAY AN EXPENSE? 1. All medical, dental, and vision claims will be added to your account for you. You may process payments/disbursements for expenses you did not use your debit card for directly from the Dashboard page. 2. Disbursement can be initiated for unpaid expenses by clicking on Pay to the right of the expense details. Please Note: if you used your debit card for a claim you will need to update the item in your Dashboard to show as paid. See instructions below on How do I edit an existing expense in the dashboard. 3. When you click Pay the claim details from the dashboard will be pre-populated within the claim form. Review & edit the claim details by completing any required fields that remain blank. 4. You will have the option to either request a disbursement to yourself or, pay the provider. 5. You can filter the Dashboard to only view unpaid expenses by clicking on the unpaid status from the navigation bar on the left-hand side of the screen.

HOW DO I EDIT AN EXISTING EXPENSE IN THE DASHBOARD? 1. From the Dashboard page, expand the expense details visible by clicking on the expense line item from the Dashboard. 2. You will be presented with options to add expense notes, update the expense details, mark the expense as paid/unpaid or, remove the expense for unpaid expenses from the dashboard. HOW DO I SIGN UP TO ACCESS/SWEEP CASH TO INVESTMENTS? 1. From the home page click on the Manage Investments button from the I want to. section 2. Select the Update Investment Sweeps link on the right-hand side of the screen. 3. You are automatically enrolled to sweep at $2,000. To set an amount higher than this, click the Define Investment Sweep Amount check box. Enter the dollar amount (over $2,000 and in increments of $100) to set as a cash threshold balance for your investments to automatically transfer between cash and investments ongoing. You can change this at any time! HOW DO I FIND MY CASH AND INVESTMENT BALANCES? Under the Available Balance section on the left-hand side of the Home tab. For more details regarding your account click on Available balance and select Account Activity.

WHERE DO I FIND MY INVESTMENT DETAIL? From the Home tab click on the Manage Investments button under the I want to section. Click Manage Investments again on the next page. You may be required to answer an additional security question to access this area of the portal. ARE HSA STATEMENTS AVAILABLE ONLINE? Under the Statements & Notifications tab HSA Account Summaries can be found. Summaries are posted monthly. The three (3) most recent summaries will be displayed but you can click on view all to see more. ARE HSA TAX DOCUMENTS AVAILABLE ONLINE? Under the Tools and Support tab click HSA Tax Documents. All tax documents will be accessible here, including corrections or updates. MORE HELPFUL INFORMATION Under the Tools & Support tab you can find links that connect you to helpful information. These links provide valuable resources that enable you to manage your health care more effectively.
