GlobalLink Linguist Quick Reference Guide General Guidelines for Translators The basic process of completing translations using TransStudio Online (TSO), implementing feedback using TransStudio Review (TSR) and Desktop Publishing (DTP) a file is outlined in this guide. 1. Your project manager has assigned a request to you. Use Chrome or IE9 to access Project Director (PD) via https://gl-honeywell1.translations.com/pd/ Project Director Folders a. Folders The Translator will have Available, Inbox, Sent and Completed folders. Overview to Phases Translation i. Inbox contains all requests assigned for Translation, Feedback and DTP. ii. Sent and Completed folders contain completed requests. b. You will receive an email notification that a submission has been assigned to you for Translation. c. You can use TransStudio Online and translate these files online within Project Director or claim the files as TXLF and translate them offline. Feedback Implementation d. You will get an email notification that files are available for feedback implementation after a Honeywell reviewer reviewed your translated work and provided feedback. e. You can use will use TransStudio Review (TSR) to implement feedback to reviewed files within Project Director. Desktop Publishing (DTP) Phase f. You will get an email notification that files are available for DTP and provides you with native file. g. In this phase you will review the native output and upload the final file back to deliver it to the requestor. Feedback Implementation and QA a. This phase is relevant when submission come from Sitecore and the source files are XML s b. You will get an email notification that files are available for feedback implementation and QA after a Honeywell reviewer reviewed your translated work and provided feedback. h. You can use will use TransStudio Review (TSR) to implement feedback and completed QA of the file within Project Director
Translate Offline GlobalLink Linguist Quick Reference Guide 1. Go to the Inbox Translation Phase Offline 2. Click. The Claim Translation dialog box appears. 3. Select the Batches you want to translate and click. 4. Get the Translation Kit and use the TXLF file in the kit to translate offline. The file is leveraged against the Translation Memory. **Note that the glossary and remote TM strings will only work in Word fast 4.0 and above. 5. After the translation is complete upload the translated TXLF(s) back. 6. To upload the file(s) back, click on and upload the translated TXLF(s) ** Do not change the name of the TXLF file(s)

The files appear on the TransStudio Online (TSO) dashboard displaying existing Translation Memory (TM) leverage results. Note: To view files, pop-up blockers in the web browser must be disabled. Check the browser settings if the file does not appear. Translating Files in TransStudio Online (TSO) 1. Enter the translation in the target segment. 2. The target segment appears in a pink background. Note: The color code is dependent on the Preferences set up for the project. 3. Click on the Translation tab dashboard or press Alt+. 4. Click on the File tab dashboard to save the translation to PD and continue working on the file or click to mark the translated file as Completed and move it to the next Phase in PD. Note: To open previously saved translation work, select the Submission in the Inbox folder and click.
Leveraging Translation Memory GlobalLink Linguist Quick Reference Guide If an active TM is connected to PD, when a file is opened in TSO for translation, existing TM leverage appears by default. To leverage an updated TM during the translation process you can use any of the following options on the Translation tab dashboard: To leverage the current segment, click. To leverage until a fuzzy segment, click. To leverage until a no match segment, click. To leverage all segments, click. Using TM Lookup The TM Lookup panel displays the leverage results for the current source segment. The results show the segment ID number, source and target segments, the translation score, the translation memory name, creation user, creation date, and modification user. You can also use the TM Lookup panel to search for source or target text in the TM. To use TM Lookup: 1. Enter a word or phrase in the TM Lookup input field or select a word or phrase in the source or target segment. 2. Click or press F8. 3. Click or. That text highlighted or selected in the source or target is searched for in the file. The source and target segments with the searched word or phrase appear in the TM Lookup panel.
Working with Tags GlobalLink Linguist Quick Reference Guide A tag is inline text that is not translatable, for example, HTML code or formatting information. To view tag details, hover over the tag with the mouse pointer. To copy tags: 1. Click on the tag to be copied. The tag is highlighted in red and selected. 2. Drag the selected tag into the target segment or click or press Ctrl+Atl+. The tag appears in the target segment and the next tag is highlighted. To copy all tags in a segment or document to the target segment, click select Segment or Document. and Working with Terms To view all glossary terms in a file, click on the Terminology tab dashboard. The glossary matches appear. If a term from the glossary exists in the source segment, it is highlighted in light pink. If the glossary term used in the target segment is an exact match, the term is highlighted in green. The Terminology panel displays the terms appearing in the current active segment. Note: The color code is dependent on the Preferences set up for the project. To copy terms: 1. Click or or press Ctrl+8 or Ctrl+9 to select the preceding or the following source term. 2. Click or press Ctrl+0. The translated term is copied from the glossary and appears in the target segment.
Using Transcheck GlobalLink Linguist Quick Reference Guide Transcheck is one of the key features of TransStudio Online (TSO) that verifies non-linguistic elements in the target segments and warns about missing, incorrect text, or variables. If a segment has a Transcheck error, a warning icon appears in the Status column. To view the warning details, hover over the icon with the mouse pointer. To use Transcheck from the Review Tab dashboard: 1. Click to check only the active segment or click to check the entire file. The Transcheck errors appear as warning icons in the Status column and in the Transcheck panel on the lower left corner of the dashboard. 2. Make edits as required to the active segment as indicated by the message.
GlobalLink Linguist Quick Reference Guide Feedback Implementation Phase in TransStudio Review Claiming Submissions for Feedback On the dashboard, select the Submission in the Inbox folder. Click. The Review dialog box appears. Selecting Batch or File for Feedback Implementation 1. Select the Batch to review and click Get Feedback Implementation. 2. Select the Batch to review in Status Not Started. The files within the Batch appear in the panel below. The first file in the Batch with Status Not Started will be automatically selected. 3. Click on the file name to open the file or select it and click. TransStudio Review (TSR) opens. 4. Click to check if TransStudio Review (TSR) tool is available. If the TSR is available, a green check mark appears. If the TSR is not available, a red cross mark appears.

Click to view Instructions or Background information provided by the submitter. 2. Click to download and view the Reference Files. Implementing Feedback TransStudio Review 1. Review the file and add notes to and implement feedback to each segment as required. 2. Check the comments under the Review column to check for any Comments entered by the reviewer. 3. Notes to the relevant category can be added by going to Notes and clicking on Add This will appear as by the reviewer here. under status column. You can also check for any existing note added Review the Grade and Score assigned to each segment along with comments provided 4. When the feedback implementation is finished, the file can be advanced to the next workflow phase or returned back to the translation phase: Click and then to save and close the file without marking it as complete. This allows the file to be returned to the previous step. Click on the File tab to mark the file as complete and advance it to the next workflow phase. You are returned to Project Director, where the Review dialog box is open, as shown in the
screenshot on the left GlobalLink Linguist Quick Reference Guide 5. Enter general Comments (Optional) in the Review dialog box. 6. Click one of the following to advance the reviewed file or to return the file back to the previous step: Click to mark the file as Completed and move it to the next phase. Click to return the file to the translation phase. The Review dialog box closes, and the reviewed file is advanced to the next phase or returned to the previous phase according to the button clicked. Note: If is clicked in the Review dialog box for a file with an In Progress status You can continue to refer the Translation Memory and Glossary here. (saved in TransStudio Review but not completed), a warning appears. Click Continue to mark the file as Complete and advance it to the next phase, or press Cancel. Any additional notes added by reviewer is visible here as well You can review the history of the segment here If is clicked in the Review dialog box for a file with a Not Started status (not saved or completed in TransStudio Review), a warning appears. Click Continue to mark the file as Complete and advance it to the next phase, or press Cancel. You can run Transcheck on a segment to see the error here as well.
GlobalLink Linguist Quick Reference Guide Desktop Publishing (DTP) Phase Claiming Submissions for DTP 1. On the dashboard, select the Submission in the Inbox folder. 2. Click. The Get Files DTP dialog box appears. Selecting Batches and Completing DTP 1. Select the Batches to review and click Get Files DTP. 2. Select the Translation Kit check box and click OK. Retrieve the Translation Kit by clicking on hyperlink. 3. Go to the DTP folder and get the and save the translated copy of the native file to your computer to make any layout changes. 4. Once these changes are completed, upload back the file using. Ensure that the file name is not changed before uploading the final file back to PD. 5. Once the upload is complete, the submission will move in to the Completed folder and TM gets updated. 6. The submission is now completed.
