Policy Policy advocacy facilitation in Telangana The GPMDG Core Committee in Telangana was formed under the guidance of Mr Vinay Kumar However, challenges are faced in implementation Rooftop Solar is struggling - shortage in supply of meters / lack of awareness about installation procedures and regulation among DISCOM officials on the ground at ADE level Delays in approvals - Online Single Window clearance is needed Cross Subsidy Surcharge (CSS) and Additional Surcharge are being levied despite policy exmption The challenges were presented to special Chief Secretary along with recommendations from Industry

Policy Advocacy Policy facilitation in Maharashtra Maharashtra has tremendous potential for RE, given the high tariffs of Industrial & Commercial consumers. Uptake of RE however is slow GPMDG Core Committee Members identified the below challenges after three Core Committee meetings High Open Access Charges & imposition of electricity Duty Banking of Renewable Energy not allowed in some months Imposition of severe penalties for forecasting and Scheduling deviations Delays in Net Metering Implementation and unavailability of qquipment These Challenges were submitted to Hon ble Minister Maharashtra

GPMDG Tamil CII Nadu intervention Engagement - TEA Tiruppur Exporters Association Greening Tiruppur through Renewable Energy session was held at Tiruppur under the guidance of Mr Ramesh Kymal Activities Feasibility studies for potential for MSME Discussed available Technologies/RE business, models and provide details on economic feasibility, payback period, financing options etc Matchmaking with top RE developers Policy intervention with state government to facilitate installation of Solar/Wind Action Plan Engagement with MSME & EESL to work with other clusters
