Introduction The TG20 is a multi-function stabilizer for 360 video shooting, based on our years of stabilizer development experience, is the most advanced 360 video shooting stabilization platform to date. The technology built into the TG20 allows the user easily use and bring world-class movement translation and stability to the professional cinematographer's market. TG20 comes with an independent high performance IMU module, no need work with other controllers, so it can be use on any multi-rotors drones cars or other platforms. High performance motor servo systems with position feedback and IMU to communicate with our custom 32-bit processor, which processes movement calculations in 0.001 seconds, this equates to control and stability accuracy down to 0.01 degrees of translated movements, meaning your images are going to be perfectly stable in all three axes of movement. A GoPro power supply system built into TG20, it can be power 10 GoPro simultaneously, so the customer no need worry about Gopro shooting time. A buzzer can be generate sound synchronization signal for video post-processing also comes with the TG20. Mounting the Gimbal to the Aircraft Mounting the Extension Rod Mounting the extension rod to the gimbal with the M3 12mm screws, fix the screws tightly to prevent from loosening or dropping. According to the specific use, one or two extension rod can be used. When the diagonal size of the aircraft is within 850mm(including propeller size), one extension rod is ok for use. When the diagonal dimension of the aircraft is above 1140mm, two extension rods needed. Mounting the Damper Plate Mounting the damper plate to the another end of the extension rod with the M3 12mm screws, fix the screws tightly to prevent from loosening or dropping. 12
After completing the above steps, the gimbal assembly is complete. (a) One extension rod (b) Two extension rods Mounting the Gimbal to the Aircraft Use tube clamp to attach loading tube with aircraft tightly. The space between two loading tube is 155mm. 13
Instead of using loading tube, use damper plate to attach to DJI S900/S1000/M600 directly. 14
The Gimbal Safe Distance The following figure takes the GoPro 4 as an example. The GoPro settings is: the viewing angle is widest which is about 170 degrees, video aspect ratio is 4:3, recording format is 30fps 2.7K or 60fps 1080p. When there are 8 GoPro vertically mount onto the gimbal and the wide viewing angle is in 4:3 mode, the minimum vertical safety distance is 30cm, the viewing overlapping ratio of cameras is about 60%. 15
When there are 4 GoPro vertically mount onto the gimbal and the wide viewing angle is in 4:3 mode, the minimum vertical safety distance is 45cm, the viewing overlapping ratio of cameras is about 10%. When there are 2 GoPro mount onto the gimbal bottom and the wide viewing angle is in 4:3 mode, the minimum bottom safety distance is 18cm,the viewing overlapping ratio of cameras is about 50%. 16

Operation Mode The TG20 support two operation mode: underslung mode and upright mode, user may mount the gimbal on aircrafts, cars, helmets etc. (a) Underslung Mode (b) Upright Mode There is no need special setting lets the gimbal work in one of the two modes, just mount the gimbal as you needed and then power on it. 19
Pre-Flight Check Ensure the gimbal is properly installed and attached to the aircraft, and that the camera is mounted correctly and securely. Before powering on, spin the gimbal through its complete rotation by hand on each axis to ensure nothing blocking its movement. Ensure all cables are connected correctly, without any plugged in backwards or into the wrong ports. Verify RC settings and a proper connection between the GCU and the RC receiver. Ensure the gimbal has been upgraded to the latest firmware. Make sure that the gimbal is at horizontal resting before starting. 20
Flight Test 1. Make sure all connections and wiring are in good condition. 2.Make sure that the gimbal is at horizontal resting and stable when power-on. 3.After the power is on, the gimbal LED will be green. After 5 seconds, the gimbal will start automatically, keep horizontal and move to the same direction as the front of the aircraft. 4.When the gimbal is stationary, it means the initialization is complete and the gimbal ready to use. 5.Turn on the remote controller ONLY after the gimbal initialized. 6.Toggle the assigned Wroking Modes switch on your TX and make sure it is work properly. 7.If there is any abnormality after initialization, please refer to the Troubleshooting section. 21
Generate GoPro Synchronization Signal After power on the GoPro Power Supply System, push the button, the buzzer will generate "Be sound and can be used as synchronization signal for video post-processing. 22
PC Assistant Tuning Installation and Usage 1. Download the Assistant installer from www.accsoon.com. 2. Double click the Assistant installer and follow the steps to finish the installation. 3. Run Assistant. 4. Upgrade the firmware or configure parameters using Assistant as needed. The assistant installer can be used on Window XP, Win7, and Win10. Connect the Gimbal to the PC Assistant 23
Please connect the gimbal and PC with a USB cable and then click "Refresh" button, when the new COM port comes out, choose the right COM port, click "Connect". After success connection the COM port will turn to grey and the status will display "ReadOK" with a green background which means all settings read out from the gimbal, also the Firmware revision info displayed. PC Assistant Menu Default Settings: Reset all the settings to the factory settings. Read Settings: Read the settings saved in the gimbal. Write Settings: After change parameters, the gimbal will not save your settings unless you write the configuration changes. Restart: Restart the gimbal. IMU Live Data The IMU angles data and real time output chart. Parameters The parameters controls the behavior of the gimbal. Power: This parameter will determine how powerful the gimbal will be in holding the camera still. Slowly increase this setting until you feel an oscillation, then reduce the setting until the oscillation subsides. It is important to check that the setting you have set will not oscillate in any 24
orientation. Speed: This parameter will determine how quickly the gimbal back to the original position when it is not there due to any external force. Slowly increase this setting meanwhile drag the axis to make it return to the original position, until the gimbal back to the original position quickly and without any vibration. Trim: This parameter offers accuracy compensation when the gimbal is working in dynamic, such as frequent vibrating in all direction or moving. When the value is too high the gimbal will oscillate, then the value should be decreased properly. NOTE: Firstly adjust the power value, then the speed value and finally the trim value. Follow Deadband: Flollow deadband defines a range in degrees of handle or aircraft movement which will be ignored. In practice, this means that you can move the handle less than the deadband and the camera will not pan. Once you exceed the pan follow deadband threshold, the camera will begin to pan. Follow Speed: This parameter means how fast the gimbal follow the aircraft or handle movements. Working Mode Pan Follow: The gimbal pan axis always tracks the aircraft or handle orientation, which means when the aircraft or the handle rotated left or right, 25
the camera will move, smoothly following the aircraft or the handle rotation, and stop at the appropriate angle. Pan Lock: All three axes are in self-stabilized and the direction is locked. Calibration Gyro Cali: When you want to perform gyro calibration, click "Motor Off" button and the gimbal will standby, then you keep the gimbal stationary without any movement or vibration and click "Gyro Cali" button. The calibration will complete in 10 seconds. NOTE: Before doing calibration, please ensure that the temperature shows "NORMAL". Pan ORNT Cali: You can change the pan axis original orientation by use the "Pan ORNT Cali". Lets the gimbal in standby by click "standby" button, then drag the pan axis to the orientation you wanted and then click "Pan ORNT Cali", the gimbal will save new orientation. Motor Switch Motor Off: Click this button turn the motor off, the gimbal will go to standby. NOTE: All calibrations can only be performed after the motor is turned off. Motor On: Click this button turn the motor on and the gimbal will hold the camera stable. 26
Firmware Upgrade You can upgrade the firmware by following the steps bellow: 1. Download the firmware from www.accsoon.com. 2. Click "Browse", find the firmware and open it. 3. Click "Upgrade". 4. Waiting for the Upgrade complete. NOTE: The previous parameters will not change after upgrading. 27
Troubleshooting NO. The Problem The Cause What to DO 1 The gimbal keeps (1)The TX trims are too (1)Adjust the TX trims drifting after high (2)Wait for 1 to 2 minutes to initialization. (2)The ambient make the IMU warm temperature is too low 2 Some axis can not (1)The default (1) Do gyro calibration by keep horizontal after calibration is wrong PC Assistant software or do initialization (2)There is drift in gyro an offline gyro calibration by RC (2)Please contact Accsoon customer Service if it still cannot keep horizontal or it moves irregularly after initialization 3 The gimbal cannot (1)The IMU wram up (1)Warm the gimbal for 2 to keep horizontal after time isn't enough 3 minutes and wait until it initial power on if the goes almost horizontally, ambient temperature then quickly power off the is lower than 10 gimbal and power on it degree again 28
