Introduction, page 1 Cisco HCS User License Bundle, page 4 Cisco HCS Application License Options, page 4 Cisco HCS Management License Options, page 8 Cisco HCS Application Add-on Licenses, page 9 Other Supported Applications, page 11 Cisco HCS Support Services, page 13 Introduction Cisco Hosted Collaboration Solution (Cisco HCS) uses a unique license model for the Cisco Unified Communications (UC) applications and management tools that make up Cisco HCS. Rather than requiring a separate, individual license per Cisco UC application and management tool, Cisco HCS uses license bundles to create a solution license model. Unlike traditional product licenses that are applied on a per-application or per-tool basis, solution licenses are applied and maintained through Cisco HCS. This solution license model applies only to Cisco HCS and is for Cisco HCS partners only. The licenses described in this document cannot be ordered for any other solution, partner, or use. Licensing for data center infrastructure (for example, CUBE, ASA, and Nexus) is not covered in this document. Obtain these licenses separately as part of the infrastructure. For more information, see the Cisco Hosted Collaboration Solution, Release 10.6(1) Solution Reference Network Design Guide. User, Device, and Concurrent Licenses Cisco HCS licenses are applied on a per-user, per-device, concurrent, or session basis depending upon the particular license. A user is an end-user profile that has access to functionality within Cisco HCS. A Cisco HCS end-user profile accesses Cisco HCS functionality through a phone, soft client, mobile client, fixed mobile convergence device, or Extension Mobility profile. 1

Cisco HCS License Types Note The primary Cisco HCS management and application license bundles are applied on a per-user basis. A device is a unique, individual device (for example, IP phone or TelePresence endpoint) that has access to features and functionality within the Cisco HCS. Device-specific licensing generally applies to add-on licenses. Multiple users or devices share a concurrent license. The terms for concurrent use define a user or device that can use the license at any given time. In general, the use of concurrent licenses is confined to certain workloads such as Contact Center, or the use of specialized technology or shared resources. Session licenses are functionally the same as concurrent licenses: a user or device that can use the license at any given time. Cisco Expressway Remote Media session add-on license is an example of a session-based license. Unless stated otherwise, the information in this guide assumes a user-based license. Cisco HCS License Types There are three types of Cisco HCS licenses to consider in every deployment: Management License Application License Add-on License The management and application licenses are offered as a single bundle to facilitate easier license management. A license bundle contains the necessary licenses for tools, applications, and functionality associated with the bundle. Management licenses cover all management tools included as part of Cisco HCS. The management tools focus on operational efficiency and customer service, from initial implementation and services activation to ongoing provisioning and service assurance. The following table describes the management tools in the Cisco HCS framework. Table 1: Cisco HCS Management Tools Tools Cisco Unified Communications Domain Manager (Cisco Unified CDM) Hosted Collaboration Mediation Fulfillment (Cisco HCM-F) Cisco Prime Collaboration Assurance Provisions Unified Communications applications and services for subscribers. Provides domain manager mediation and solution level capabilities such as upgrade management, billing mediation, license management, automation of virtual machine provisioning, and identity management. Comprehensive voice, video, and Contact Center management system with monitoring, troubleshooting, and reporting capabilities that help users receive consistent, high-quality video and voice collaboration. Application licenses cover all the Cisco UC applications within Cisco HCS. The following table describes the Cisco UC applications in the Cisco HCS framework. 2

Cisco HCS License Types Table 2: Cisco HCS UC Application Licenses Application Cisco Unified Communications Manager Cisco Unified Mobility Cisco Unity Connection Cisco Jabber for Everyone Cisco Jabber (full UC) Manages call routing and processing. Redirect calls between desktop and mobile phones. Voicemail features and functionality. Instant messaging and chat. Collaboration tools, including presence, instant messaging (IM), voice, video, voice messaging, screen sharing, and conferencing. Add-on licenses are licenses for applications and features that are not included within a specific application license bundle. Because the add-on licenses provide extra functionality to specific application bundles to match specific customer needs, one application license is needed for each add-on license. The following table describes the non-cisco UC applications in the Cisco HCS framework. Table 3: Cisco HCS Application Add-on Licenses Add-on License Cisco WebEx Meetings Cisco Unified Contact Center Enterprise Cisco Jabber for Everyone Cisco TelePresence Room Endpoints Incorporates audio, high-definition (HD) video, and real-time content sharing Delivers intelligent contact routing, call treatment, network-to-desktop computer telephony integration (CTI), and multichannel contact management over an IP infrastructure Provides presence and instant messaging (IM) capabilities Supports high-definition (HD) video immersive collaboration endpoints Add-on licenses are also available for the Cisco Prime Collaboration Assurance management tool. The following table describes the available Prime Collaboration Assurance management add-on licenses. Table 4: Cisco HCS Management Add-on Licenses Add-on License Management Bundles Video Assurance Contact Center Assurance Adds selected management features to support UC license migrations, for example. Adds video assurance to midrange and high-end TelePresence endpoints. Adds assurance to Cisco HCS for Contact Center. 3

Cisco HCS User License Bundle For more information about the Cisco HCS framework, see the Cisco Hosted Collaboration Solution design guides: http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/cisco_hosted_collaboration_solution. Cisco HCS User License Bundle The Cisco HCS user license bundle includes the following licenses: Unified Communications license Unified Communications Domain Manager license Hosted Collaboration Mediation-Fulfillment license Prime Collaboration Assurance license The selection of the type of UC user automatically adds the appropriate quantity and type for each management component. In addition, several add-on options are available and can be selected at order time. Cisco HCS Application License Options Cisco HCS offers several licensing bundles, which define the types of applications, functionality, and devices to which a user is entitled. Cisco HCS Basic. For more information, see Cisco HCS Basic License Bundle, on page 5. Cisco HCS Foundation. For more information, see Cisco HCS Foundation License Bundle, on page 5. Cisco HCS Standard. For more information, see Cisco HCS Standard License Bundle, on page 6. Cisco HCS Essential, for handling analog devices (phones and faxes) and low-end phones. For more information, see Cisco HCS Essential License, on page 7. Cisco HCS also supports a voicemail-only licensing option. For more information, see Cisco Unified Messaging, on page 7. Cisco HCS application license bundles contain the Cisco Enhanced IP User Connect license, plus extra software features, soft clients, and mobile clients for Cisco UC applications. The following table identifies key Cisco UC functionality and the license bundles that support that functionality. Table 5: Application License Features Functionality Collaboration Apps Basic Foundation Standard Number of Devices 1 1 10 Full Voice and Call Control Cisco UC Manager Mobility (SNR) Cisco Unified Mobility Native Video Cisco UC Manager 4

Cisco HCS Essential License Cisco HCS Essential License The Cisco HCS Essential license supports analog device connections (for example, phones and fax), Cisco Unified SIP Phone 3905, and Cisco Unified IP Phone 6901. Essential licenses are offered in blocks of 1000. The Cisco HCS Essential license also requires the purchase of the following: One Cisco HCS management bundle with each Cisco HCS Essential license Cisco Software Support Service (SWSS) for Cisco HCS Cisco Unified Messaging A Cisco Unity Connection unified messaging license is available for users who require only voicemail message capabilities. No devices are associated with their profiles. One Cisco HCS Management bundle license is required for each standalone messaging license. Session Management Edition Purchase sufficient Cisco Unified Communications Manager Session Management Edition (SME) session licenses to support the anticipated number of concurrent SME sessions in your Cisco HCS deployment. SME licenses are perpetual, but not reusable, and are owned by the end customer rather than the HCS Partner. One free SME session license is available for every five HCS Standard licenses purchased but must be specified at the time of the original order. You can purchase extra SME session licenses with the following top-level SKU: SME-SESSION-LIC. License Bundles for the Public Sector Cisco HCS Public Sector licenses are available for Cisco HCS Basic, Cisco HCS Foundation, Cisco HCS Standard, Cisco Unity Connection unified messaging add-on licenses. The Public Sector licenses are also available for the Cisco HCS management tools: Cisco Unified Communications Domain Manager, HCM-F, and Prime Collaboration Assurance. These licenses can only be used for services provided to entities that fall under the following description of Public Sector Customer: "Public Sector Customer" means country, state, regional or local authority, public and private primary and secondary schools and higher education institutions, a body governed by public law, an association formed by one or several of such authorities or one or several of such bodies governed by public law. Cisco also offers Public Sector migration licenses, which allow a partner to upgrade an end-customer's license type: From Basic to Foundation From Basic to Standard From Foundation to Standard When migration licenses are ordered, a PAK is sent to the customer with instructions to contact hcs-license@cisco.com. The customer requests new licenses and asks to retire the old licenses. Given the 7

Cisco HCS Management License Options manual nature of this process, it is preferable to consolidate upgrades on one order rather than sending smaller individual orders. The Cisco Hosted Collaboration Solution (HCS) Public Sector Ordering Details form must be completed for every order that includes Cisco HCS Public Sector part numbers. This information is used to confirm that the Cisco HCS end customer qualifies for Public Sector pricing. The partner that is deploying services to a public sector customer prepares the license order. The customer's Cisco sales contact works with the customer to complete and submit the form. The Cisco Hosted Collaboration Solution (HCS) Public Sector Ordering Details form can be found here: http://cs.co/hcspublicsector. Because the form must be filled out and submitted by a Cisco representative, it is only accessible by Cisco employees. Cisco HCS Management License Options The Cisco HCS management license bundle provides user-based licensing for the mandatory management tools in the Cisco HCS management framework. These tools are described in the following table. Table 6: Cisco HCS 10.x Management Tools Tool Service Fulfillment Cisco Unified Communications Domain Manager Cisco Hosted Collaboration Mediation Service Assurance Cisco Prime Collaboration Assurance Provisions Unified Communications applications and services for subscribers. Provides domain manager mediation and solution-level capabilities such as upgrade management, billing mediation, license management, virtual machine provisioning automation, and identity management. Comprehensive voice, video, and Contact Center management system with monitoring, troubleshooting, and reporting capabilities that help end-users receive consistent, high-quality video and voice collaboration. Note Cisco HCS requires Cisco Software Support Service (SWSS) for Cisco HCS for every service management tool in the Cisco HCS Management license bundle. Renew SWSS for Cisco HCS every year for all users. Each management license bundle provides the necessary licensing and right to use all Cisco HCS management tools on a per-user basis. Prime Collaboration Assurance also supports add-on licenses to address specific video and contact center assurance needs. 8

Video Assurance Add-on Video Assurance Add-on As part of the management license bundle, Cisco Prime Collaboration Assurance supports mass endpoints (for example, IP phone-based devices). To add video assurance to mid-range and high-end TelePresence endpoints, purchase a video assurance add-on license for each endpoint For best operational experience with managing end-to-end video sessions, it is recommended that all endpoints be covered by Cisco Prime Collaboration Assurance. For a list of supported TelePresence endpoints, see Cisco HCS Device Support at https://communities.cisco.com/community/partner/ collaboration/uc/hcs/blog/2014/05/12/cisco-hcs-10-license-references. Contact Center Assurance Add-on Cisco Prime Collaboration Assurance is available for Cisco HCS for Contact Center. The license is based on the number of concurrent agents that are logged in. For more information, see Cisco HCS for Contact Center, on page 12. Cisco HCS Application Add-on Licenses Cisco HCS application add-on licenses provide extra features and functionality to application license bundles to match customer-specific needs. The following table identifies the supported application add-ons. Table 7: Cisco HCS Application Add-ons Application Name Cisco Unity Connection / Enhanced Cisco Unity Connection Cisco Emergency Responder Cisco Jabber for Everyone Cisco TelePresence Room Endpoints Provides integrated voicemail services. Enhances the existing emergency 9-1-1 functionality offered by Cisco Unified Communications Manager. Provides presence and instant messaging capabilities. Provides high-definition, immersive video-collaboration endpoints. Cisco Unity Connection and Enhanced Cisco Unity Connection Add-on For Cisco HCS Basic and Foundation license users, two options for voicemail add-on licenses are available: Cisco Unity Connection. Provides all voicemail-related services. Cisco Unity Connection Enhanced. Includes all the Basic Messaging user functions and lets you configure a standby mailbox at a branch office for a Survivable Remote Site Voicemail (SRSV) deployment. 9

Cisco Emergency Responder Add-On Cisco Emergency Responder Add-On Cisco Emergency Responder enhances the existing emergency functionality (such as 9-1-1) of Cisco Unified Communications Manager by sending emergency calls to the appropriate Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP). Cisco Emergency Responder is ordered as a Cisco HCS add-on license. One Cisco Emergency Responder add-on license accounts for one user. Important If you upgraded from Cisco HCS release 10.x to release 10.6(1), then upgrade your Emergency Responder license from release 10.x to release 10.5. The version of Emergency Responder assigned in Cisco Prime License Manager corresponds to your deployment mode (HCS, Enterprise, or HCSLE), as described in the following table. HCS Release Prime License Manager 10.0 Prime License Manager 10.5 CER 10.0 10.0(1) through 10.1(2) Enterprise Enterprise CER 10.5 (20000-2 or lower) 10.6(1) N/A HCS, Enterprise CER 10.5 (20000-3 or higher) TBD (probably 11.0(1)) N/A HCS, Enterprise, HCSLE Note Cisco Hosted Collaboration Mediation Fulfillment and Cisco Unified Communications Domain Manager do not support HCSLE. Cisco Emergency Responder License Compliance Cisco Emergency Responder sends licensing requirements to Cisco Prime License Manager and attempts to discover all phones on Cisco Unified Communications Manager, excluding subnets not tracked by Cisco Emergency Responder. Cisco Prime License Manager computes the license requirements for all connected Cisco Emergency Responder product instances and compares the total license requirements to the total available installed licenses. When upgrading from Cisco Emergency Responder Release 10.0 to 10.5(1), also upgrade the Cisco Emergency Responder license from Release 10.x to Release 10.5. If these new licenses are not installed within 60 days of upgrading, the Cisco Emergency Responder system is affected in the following ways: Does not track or update unlicensed phone locations. Does not support unlicensed phones. Enters noncompliance mode. Generates email alerts and GUI warnings. 10

Cisco Jabber for Everyone Add-on Important Failure to upgrade licenses does not impact 911 calls. For more information, see the Cisco Emergency Responder Administration Guide : http://www.cisco.com/c/ en/us/support/unified-communications/emergency-responder/products-maintenance-guides-list.html. Cisco Jabber for Everyone Add-on The Cisco Jabber for Everyone license provides presence and IM capabilities for every user of customers with deployments of voice services from a Cisco HCS partner. You can add a Jabber for Everyone license to the Cisco HCS Basic or Cisco HCS Essential application license. The Jabber for Everyone license can also stand alone for non-voice users within a Cisco HCS customer. Cisco TelePresence Room Endpoint Add-on You can add Cisco TelePresence immersive (room-based) endpoints to Cisco HCS Foundation or Standard application license bundles. Add-on licenses are available for single and multiscreen systems. The Cisco HCS management tools do not support the Cisco TelePresence Server. However, the Cisco HCS service assurance functionality does support the Cisco TelePresence endpoints (codecs) for basic monitoring. For more information, see Video Assurance Add-on, on page 9. For more information about setting up and ordering TelePresence systems, see the Cisco TelePresence documentation at www.cisco.com/go/telepresence. For a list of supported TelePresence endpoints, see Cisco HCS Device Support at https://communities.cisco.com/ community/partner/collaboration/uc/hcs/blog/2014/05/12/cisco-hcs-10-license-references. Other Supported Applications Cisco HCS supports several applications that are not fully integrated into the environment, either from the fulfillment or assurance side or both. Table 8: Other Supported Applications Application Name Cisco HCS for Contact Center Cisco Unified Attendant Console Advanced Edition Cisco TelePresence Exchange Cisco Expressway Rich Media Session Provides intelligent contact routing, call treatment, network-to-desktop computer telephony integration (CTI), and multichannel contact management. Enables operator managed dispatching of incoming calls to intended recipients. Supports immersive video infrastructure components. Enables over-the-top (OTT) internet video and audio sessions for business-to-business sessions and for Jabber Guest. 11

Cisco HCS for Contact Center Application Name Enhanced Microsoft Collaboration Key for Cisco Expressway Cisco Jabber Guest Enables video and audio sessions between Cisco HCS endpoints and Microsoft Lync clients. Enables instant-on, real-time voice and video through a website or mobile application. Cisco HCS for Contact Center With Cisco HCS for Contact Center, inbound and outbound voice applications can be integrated with internet applications. These applications include real-time chat, web collaboration, email, and social media. This integration helps single agents support multiple interactions simultaneously, regardless of which communications channel the customer has chosen. For more information, see Introduction. Cisco Unified Attendant Console Advanced Edition There are no Cisco HCS-specific licenses for Unified Attendant Console Advanced Edition. You can order licenses as described in the Cisco Unified Communications Solutions Ordering Guide at http://www.cisco.com/ c/dam/en/us/products/collateral/unified-communications/unified-communications-manager-callmanager/ucs1_ og.pdf. Cisco TelePresence Exchange You can order licenses for Cisco TelePresence Exchange based on partner needs. For deployment information, see www.cisco.com/go/telepresence. Remote Access with Cisco Expressway Cisco Expressway Series virtual application software is available to anyone with a license and valid support contract for Cisco Unified Communications Manager for Cisco HCS 10.x. Cisco HCS Foundation and Cisco HCS Standard license bundles support remote and mobile access Jabber Unified Communications clients. These bundles also support MX, EX, and C-Series Cisco TelePresence endpoints that use Cisco Expressway. Remote access is not available for users with Cisco HCS Basic application licenses because this license bundle does not support soft phones. Nor does the license bundle support endpoints that support rich media features. Cisco Expressway Rich Media Session License Concurrent call sessions that terminate on systems that do not use Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Business Edition, or Cisco HCS require a Cisco Expressway Rich Media Session (RMS) license. Examples of such calls include business-to-business calls and Jabber Guest calls. 12

Cisco Jabber Guest Also, each concurrent call that requires interworking also requires a Cisco Expressway Rich Media Session license. Examples of such calls include H.264 SVC-to-H.264 AVC calls. The RMS license is a concurrent license. For Shared Expressway deployments, which are primarily for business to business dialing, the Rich Media Session license is shared across tenants. One license is consumed for every call that transverses the shared media Expressways. Enhanced Microsoft Collaboration Key for Cisco Expressway Enhanced Microsoft Collaboration Key for Cisco Expressway is an add-on to enable Microsoft Lync Gateway functionality. This functionality allows video endpoints to make calls to and receive calls from Microsoft Lync clients. One interop key license is required per Expressway-C server. Cisco Expressway Rich Media Session licenses are also required to support voice and video sessions between Cisco endpoints and Lync clients. Note At least one Expressway Rich Media Session license is required with each Enhanced Microsoft Collaboration Key license. Cisco Jabber Guest Cisco Jabber Guest enables easy video and voice interactions by using real-time communications that are high quality, standards-based, and comprehensive through websites or mobile applications. Two Cisco Expressway Rich Media Session licenses (one on Cisco Expressway-C and one on Cisco Expressway-E) are required with each Cisco Jabber Guest session. For more information, see the license requirements in the Cisco Jabber Guest Server 10.x Installation and Configuration Guide at: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/unified-communications/jabber-guest/ products-installation-guides-list.html. Cisco HCS Support Services Cisco Software Support Service (SWSS) for Cisco HCS combines the services and benefits of the following offerings: Cisco Unified Communications Software Subscription (UCSS) Cisco Unified Communications Essential Operate Service (ESW) Cisco Solution Support Service (SSPT) SWSS for Cisco HCS provides a contact for issues with the solution, access to technical resources, and software application support, including configuring major releases. Cisco delivers support for the solution, and coordinates the maintenance and support activities for addressing issues across the solution. For more information about SWSS, see: http://www.cisco.com/go/servicedescriptions/. 13

Cisco HCS Support Services Note SWSS for Cisco HCS is required for all management and application license bundles. 14
