Connect 2020 Agenda for global telecommunication/ict development 2 Connect 2020 sets out the shared vision, goals and targets that ITU Member States have committed to work to achieve by 2020 in collaboration with all stakeholders across the ICT ecosystem Connect 2020 Vision: An information society, empowered by the interconnected world, where telecommunication/icts enable and accelerate social, economic and environmentally sustainable growth and development for everyone Connect 2020 Goals: 1 2 3 4

3 Connect 2020 was widely supported by ITU Membership at PP14 90% % of countries referring to Connect 2020 Goals % of countries 80% 70% 60% 50% 40% 30% 20% 10% 0% Growth Inclusiveness Sustainability Innovation 103 countries included the Connect 2020 goals and targets in their national policy statements during the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference 2014 (PP-14), held in Busan, Korea (20 Oct 7 Nov 2014) In addition a total of 46 countries expressed their direct support to Connect 2020 in their policy statements
