BIM The Fastest Way to Quickly & Easily Insert and Modify Elements that are used in Revit project

BIM Tree Manager Working with Elements Dynamic Tree allows easily to navigate, find, modify any element and element parameters. Parameters of hundreds of grouped or sorted objects can be easy modified with one click. BIM Tree Manager works like external application that allows users to work with the project without closing BIM Tree Manager. Possibility to insert hundreds of objects into a project by predefined rules. Replaces different families with the same sizes. Extremely powerful Sort Mark function allows to renumber elements in different ways. Allows to create new parameters as needed. Calculates new value of parameter. Schedules can be created according the data from BIM Tree Manager. Groups and quantifies objects in different sections.

BIM Tree Target Customer Titles BIM Manager/Purchaser Architect Structural Engineer MEP Engineer Interior Designer

BIM Tree Manager BIM Tree Manager is an innovative and powerful BIM software for incredible speedy building design, facility management and BIM data analysis in the current or linked projects.

BIM Tree Manager Function Manage BIM Data gives possibility to change parameters (like type, material and any geometrical data) of hundreds grouped or sorted different objects by one click. Replaces different families with the same sizes. Powerful tool allows to number elements in different ways. Instantly inserts into a project hundreds of building objects by predefined rules. Examples: change the door type and material for all doors which opens into bedrooms on the second floor; change the drop from ceiling parameter value for all lighting fixtures in selected departments; change types of different radiator families in the filtered spaces or zones; create doors numbers which consist of the room number (into which the door opens) and the running letter of the door; rename and renumber all spaces by linked project room data and add Level prefix; create a new zone and add Office named spaces which exist in the second floor; insert electrical switches near the doors that opens to bedrooms.

BIM Tree Manager First step select category Select category of elements that will be used in BIM Tree. The category can be selected in two ways: from the model. Select any element from desired category in the current project; from the list. Categories comes form the current project. It is possible to select more than one category.

BIM Tree Manager Second step select data you want to see Elements of selected category are conveniently grouped together in a tree where user can filter it by any configurable criterions. The criterions can be selected with Configure Grouping. Elements with it s parameters. Configurable criterions are displayed like yellow columns ( Level, Room Name, Family, Type ). Parameters ( Door Material, Cost ) can be selected with Select Parameters. Instance parameters are displayed with white colors and type parameters - with grey colors.

BIM Tree Manager Configure Grouping If Level, Department, Room Name, Family and Type are selected in Configure Grouping then elements will be expanded and filtered under these criterions.

BIM Tree Manager Configure Grouping All possible parameters and other criterions. List of parameters is bigger than usual, because extension shows parameters that are not visible for Revit users. Elements will be expanded and filtered under these criterions. All parameters and other criterions are grouped. By selecting one group user can switch on parameters that can be used in grouping elements.

BIM Tree Manager Select Parameters Parameters can be selected with Select Parameters : Instance parameters are displayed with white colors and type parameters - with grey colors.

BIM Tree Manager Select Parameters At the left side there are all available parameters from selected category. List of parameters can be bigger than usual, because extension also shows parameters that are not visible for Revit users. To see just common parameters select Common Parameters. At the right side all selected parameters. Adding new or removing parameters are available with the commands Add and Remove. The order of parameters can be changed with Move Up and Move Down.

BIM Tree Manager Third step select the function with right click menu Select elements and parameters you want to modify and press right click. The tool will show all possible functions for selected category.

Change Selected Parameters Change Selected Parameters changes values of selected elements. This function works on white (instance) or grey (type) columns. Drop From Ceiling parameter values are changed with 1700mm for lighting fixtures with particular type.

Change Selected Parameters The material of selected elements can be changed by selecting the materials from the list. Radiator materials are changed to Yellow to all radiators which are in A31 and A32 departments.

Delete Selected Elements Delete Selected Elements deletes selected elements from the model. The function can be activated by selecting whole row from the list. Three selected doors are deleted from the model.

Change Type Change Type changes type for selected families. The type of selected elements can be changed for the same family. The values can be changed by selecting the type from the list. Selected door types are changed to 700x2100mm type.

Replace Element, Replace Door, Replace Window Replace Element, Replace Door, Replace Window - replaces selected elements with new ones. Extension will leave the same instance parameter values. Also it can keep old dimensions. The tool will create new types the same as it was in the old family:

Replace Door or Replace Window Keep old dimensions will create a new type the same as it is in the selected family: List of all the doors that are loaded to the current project:

Replace Window Curtain walls can be replaces with the windows. The sizes of window will be the same as in curtain wall sizes.

Replace Nested Element Replace Nested Element replaces nested families if parameter is created as Family type, then you can modify it with BIM Tree: Result:

Show Selected Elements BIM Tree dialog works as modeless so you can select elements in Revit project without closing the dialog. Select elements in the project and then press Show Selected Elements those elements will be filtered and displayed in BIM Tree dialog.

Write Orientation (special function for door, window and wall categories) Writes Orientation (north, south, west, east) of selected elements to user created or selected instance text parameter. Result: As new created parameters are shared then it can be used in tags or schedules:

Calculate Orientation (special function for door, window and wall categories) Calculate Orientation - allows to define four cardinal directions, the four ordinal directions, eight further divisions and real angles. Result:

Write Swing Direction (special function for door and window categories) Writes door swing direction to selected text parameter. In the configuration form user needs to defines the standard for the type on the picture.

Copy Host Element Mark The function copies Mark values of host element to selected text instance parameter. Structural Connections now has mark parameter values from host elements (Structural Framings, Structural Columns)

Set Location Mark (special function for structural framing category) The feature writes grid names where the framing is located to Location Mark, Start Location Mark, End Location Mark text parameters.
