How to Use the ETL App and Submit a Test File Editing Submission of Narrative MoH Data Validation and Importer The third milestone in the MoH data alignment activity, after submitting indicator mapping and reconciling facilities, is submitting the results file in https://geoalign.datim.org. This is done using a DHIS2 app, the DATIM MoH Data Importer app. The MoH Data Importer app can be found in Geoalign and is used to validate and submit the results data file to Geoalign. It should also be used to enter data file narrative text. To start validation or submission of the data file, log in to Geoalign. Click on the Search text box found on the top right part of the landing page and locate the DATIM MoH Data Importer app or search by typing in the name. When you click on the icon, you will be directed to the MoH Data Importer app. The MoH Data Importer app has two tabs: MOH Importer and Narratives Editor. When starting the app, the MOH Importer tab will be selected by default. These instructions describe how to use the MoH Data Importer app to submit the results file to DATIM.
To upload the data file, click on the arrow next to the Choose a file text box. Select the file from your computer and click on Open. Then select your country from the drop down list under Select a Country. Select the period for which the data have been collected. The Validation Only checkbox is checked by default. Validation only means that you are submitting the file to determine whether the file has the correct content. If the file is ready to be imported, uncheck the Validation Only checkbox. For now, we will keep the checkbox checked. Click on Submit to start the process. Below the data submission area is a section that displays the status of the data submission. If you click on the Submit button, the button becomes inactive and the text reads PROGRAM IN PROGRESS. CHECK BACK LATER. Depending on the size of the data file and the complexity of the calculations, data submission might take from a few seconds to several minutes. If you cannot wait, you can close the browser. When you reopen the app, you will see the progress of your submission. The Submit Summary area shows a summary of the information entered when submitting the file and the status of the last submission.
The results file needs to be in CSV format. If the file is not in the right format, an error will be displayed: Please refer to the data file generation materials to help with the results data file. The Summary box in white displays a summary of the overall submission status and messages. If a results file is submitted in CSV format, the application starts validating the contents of the file. A submission is invalid if any one of the following is true: The columns in the file are not in the correct order, which is MOH_FacilityID, MOH_IndicatorCode, MOH_Disag, Value, and Period. The file contains an invalid period, or the period selected and the periods in the file do not match.
The file contains an invalid facility identifier. The file contains indictor or disaggregate identifiers that were not mapped, that is, IDs that were not submitted using the Indicator Mapping app. The file contains a value that is not a positive integer. Negative numbers and decimals are not accepted. If any one of the above is true, an error message will be listed, including the row numbers of the records in the CSV file.
If the app has finished validating the data and there are no issues, Success will be displayed as the last submit status, and the Summary box will be populated with the message Validation Successful. To import the data into the DATIM system, uncheck the Validation Only checkbox and click on Submit. If the data are imported without issues, a summary of the import will be displayed. Below the import status area, a section will display previous import statuses, sorted by time of submission, with the latest import listed first. For details about a previous import, click on the row with the import of interest. A box with more details about the process will appears on the right.
The box displays the following details about the submission: user name of the person who submitted the file, the date and time of when the file was submitted, and a link ( View Summary ) to the summary of the submission. Clicking on View Summary also displays the status of the import. Clicking on the OK button at the bottom of the Summary box will return you to the MoH Importer page. A successful import means that the results data are now imported to Geoalign. The next course material provides details for reviewing the data that were imported. If you encounter any issues during the application use, please contact your country s data alignment liaison. The second tab of the MoH Data Importer app is used to edit the MoH results submission narrative. The narrative text describes the following: Data sources used for indicators How data sources were mapped for disaggregate reporting Time period Definitions, especially any deviations from MER definitions Any other context as necessary The following steps describe how to edit the narrative text. Click on Narratives Editor. This will take you to the Narratives Editor interface.
Select your country from the drop down list. Enter the text in the Enter narratives text field. Click on Save to save the changes. You will see a message indicating that your data have been saved. You can come back and edit the text after you save it. Next time you use the Narratives Editor interface and select your country, the Enter narratives text field will be automatically populated with the last text entry, and you will be able to edit the text and save it.
