1 Introduction Development Board for SL6087 and XM0110 has been designed In order to make customers development based on Sierra SL6087 and XM0110 easier. With this board it is possible to test SL6087 and XM0110 capabilities as well as Open AT programming without making own board. Development board has been equipped with supply connector, two serial ports, SIM card slot and goldpin connector. For technical parameters regarding SL6087 and XM0110 please refer to applicable documentation from Sierra Wireless.

5 XM0110 daughter board XM0110 daughter board is a removable expansion board which can help customer to develop their own project based on XM0110 module. Board should be mounted on J7 and J6 connector of SL6087 adapter board. J7 Connector GPS antenna connector J6 Connector 5. XM0110 daughter board (top view) For connection between SL06087 and XM011 serial port UART2 is used. Moreover as a control signals mentioned below GPIO lines are used: GPIO22 XM0110 ON/OFF pin GPIO23 XM0110 reset pin GPIO21 additional LED (for customer use) 6. SL6087 and XM0110 schematic Warning: Since UART2 is used for XM0110 connection, it is not available through J2 connector. Please switch S4 to GPIO position when you use XM0110 daughter board.
6 Connector description J1 Connector female DB9 connector for RS-232 communication. UART1 of SL6087 module is available through this connector. J5 Connector Power supply connector. Supply voltage should be between 7V and 9V with 0,5A current draw capability. Polarization is described on board. Additional J6 Connector expansion socket for GPS XM0110. 7 Switch description: S4 Switch working mode for UART2: - UART1 UART2 of SL6087 module is available through J2 connector - GPIO UART2 of SL6087 is disconnected from J2 connector. In this mode you can use GPIO lines multiplexed with UART2 lines S1 Switch ON/OFF signal - ON module ON - OFF module OFF S2 Switch BOOT and normal mode selection: - BOOT service mode for firmware reflashing with DWLWin application -NORMAL normal working mode SW1 Switch reset pin of SL6087 module. 8 LED description: PWR Power LED. This LED is on when Power supply was properly applied FLH flash LED of SL6087 module showing working state of SL6087 (please refer to SL6087 Product Specification) Diody UART1 signal LEDs for UART1 interface : TXD, RXD, RTS, CTS, DTS, DSR. Diody UART2 signal LEDs for UART1 interface: RS-232:TXD, RXD, RTS, CTS.
