Installation and Upgrade Limitations Issue XE-11138 XE-10798 XE-9809 XE-8373 On an existing installation where HTTPS is enabled, if you add the Dashboard and Reports component, the dashboard does not open in the Operation Console. Workaround: After you install the Dashboard and Reports component, perform the following steps: 1. Change the value of the system property dx.dashboard.url to an HTTPS path and port number. By, default, 18443 instead of 18080. 2. Open the Logi Info Dashboard license file _Settings_encrypted.lgx from the following location: <DIHInstallationDir>\DataIntegrationHub\tomcat\webapps\dih-dashboard \_Definitions 3. Edit the values of the parameters DX_CONSOLE_URL and LogonFailPage to match the values that you entered in the system property dx.dashboard.url. 4. Restart the Data Integration Hub services. When you install Data Integration Hub in a Windows operating system, if you clear all the options in the Installation Components page and then navigate to the previous page, Installation Directory, you cannot navigate from the Installation Directory page back to the Installation Components page. Workaround: Verify that at least one component is selected on the Installation Components page before you leave the page. When you install Data Integration Hub on a Windows Operating system, if you install the Data Integration Hub client plugin for PowerCenter component and define a custom ODBC connection string, the string, user name, and password that you define during the installation are not saved to the plugin. When you create custom workflows, event status names are not loaded into PowerCenter Designer. Workaround: Take one of the following steps: - Enter the string, user name, and password in the following file: <DIHInstallationDir>/powercenter/pluginVERSION/dxplugin.xml - Manually enter event status names in PowerCenter Designer. On an existing Data Integration Hub installation where you changed your configuration files since the installation, when you add components to Data Integration Hub using the Data Integration Hub installer, the Data Integration Hub installer does not present the configuration data that you modified after the original installation during the component installation. Workaround: Verify that the data that the installer presents during component installation is correct, and correct it if required. Known Limitations DIHD-1277 DIHD-1130 DIHD-1047 DIHD-756 You cannot edit the physical name of a topic table that you add from a database. In subscriptions that subscribe to a topic where the publication repository resides on an Oracle database, you cannot join columns with a TEXT data type. Custom publications and subscriptions do not support Big Data Management deployment for versions below 10.0 Update 1. In environments that run PowerCenter 9.6.1, data encryption is not supported on Data Integration Hub Teradata connections. 2 2017-12-24
DIHD-417 XE-10324 XE-9806 XE-9754 XE-9749 XE-9725 XE-9341 XE-9194 XE-9193 XE-9114 XE-9089 XE-9028 XE-8752 XE-8744 XE-8333 Topics that are configured with the option Prevent new publications and new subscriptions to this topic are not removed from the list of Data Integration Hub topics in Informatica Cloud. When you use the Run Publication Subscription web service API to run publications and subscriptions, Data Integration Hub does not enforce data access when connecting to the source application or to the target application. When you publish a flat file source, the name of the topic table can contain up to 77 characters. Subscription runs fail when the subscription contains a filter for a column with a TEXT data type with a Does Not Equal operator and the option Use pushdown optimization is enabled for the subscription. Data Integration Hub publication repository on a Microsoft SQL Server: If a string is longer than the field precision of the topic table in the staging database, the string is truncated without notification. When you use Microsoft Windows authentication for a system connection, DIH REPO or DIH STAGING, the wrapper.log file contains an incorrect error. Failure to create an index for a topic column might require a manual intervention to fix the topic. Custom delimiters that are used in flat files must be expressible as a 7-bits ASCII character. For example, you cannot use Japanese characters as delimiters. When you define the structure of the topic by extracting the table structure from a file, and when you create a publication with a flat file source, the Data Integration Hub Operation Console shows a preview of the file only if the file is an ASCII code page. For aggregated subscriptions and for compound subscriptions, the Event Average Processing Time report includes multiple delayed events in the calculation, and not only the aggregated event or the compound event. When you change the default data storage location on the publication repository, a warning message appears, stating that the storage location has changed and that the topic tables will be recreated. The topic metadata is changed and holds the new default storage location. Topic tables are not recreated on the new storage location, and remain on the old storage location. Workaround: Edit the topic and change the Data Storage Location to the new default data storage location on the publication repository. For publications with a publication pre-process, the Event Average Processing Time report does not calculate the pre-processing time. Microsoft SQL database where partitioning is enabled: If the retention period of a topic is set to one day Data Integration Hub cannot delete the topic data from the publication repository. Only data that is older than one day is moved onto the partition. Workaround: Set topic retention period for two or more days. After you change the default file group on the Data Integration Hub staging repository, when you edit a topic that was created before the change, a message informs you that unconsumed data that was published from the topic will be discarded. Topics that existed before you changed the default file group continue to publish to the file group that was the default group when the topic was created. Changing the default file group does not discard unconsumed data that was published before the change. When you use a database password that ends with the # character, Data Integration Hub enters the password into the PowerCenter connection without the # character. 2017-12-24 3
XE-8182 XE-8068 XE-8058 XE-7923 XE-7877 XE-7765 XE-7656 XE-7442 XE-7305 XE-7247 XE-7190 XE-7153 The publication fails when all the following conditions exist: - The data source is DB2. - The publication contains BLOB or 'VARCHAR FOR BIT DATA data types. - There is a NULL value in the binary column of the source table. Data Integration Hub does not support versioned PowerCenter repositories. When you install Data Integration Hub with Informatica domain authentication and the PowerCenter Web Services Hub, you must specify the same machine for both components. When you delete an event attribute with dependent objects, unsupported Data Integration Hub objects might appear in the confirmation message. When you add a topic table from a Microsoft SQL Server database connection, the topic table names cannot contain square brackets. If you do not use a precision license, and you publish from a Microsoft SQL Server database source, MAX values of MONEY and SMALLMONEY data types might be converted to a value that is higher or lower than the values that the Microsoft SQL Server database target supports. This results in a publication error. The Data Integration Hub Operation Console lists event-types that are relevant for B2B Data Exchange. Publications and subscriptions might fail with the following error after you edit them: "Error: Folder [ID=xx] not found". Perform one of the following workarounds: - After the publication or subscription fails, you must restart the PowerCenter Repository Service. - To avoid the failure, disable Repository Agent Caching in the PowerCenter Repository Service properties before you edit the publication or the subscription. When all the child events of a publication are a Discarded status, the Consumption Status of the parent event is empty and not Discarded. When you use Data Integration Hub with Informatica platform authentication, user synchronization fails if you change the case of a user name in the Informatica domain. For example, if you changed the user name from JohnSmith to johnsmith, the Informatica domain handles the updated user name as a new user account. However, Data Integration Hub handles the updated user name as a duplicate user account. Workaround: 1. Remove the user from the Informatica domain security group. 2. Synchronize users with Data Integration Hub. The synchronization deletes the user account from Data Integration Hub. 3. Add the user account to the Informatica domain security group. 4. Synchronize users with Data Integration Hub. The synchronization adds the updated user account to Data Integration Hub. To change the Data Integration Hub server RMI port number on a Windows operating system, you must change the port number in both copies of the dx-configuration.properties file and in the wrapper.conf file. For more information about changing default port numbers, see the Data Integration Hub Installation and Configuration Guide. Data Integration Hub stores operational data store JDBC connection properties in the dxconfiguration.properties file in addition to Data Integration Hub system properties. Workaround: If you change the JDBC connection properties in the dx-configuration.properties file, change the system properties. 4 2017-12-24
XE-7096 XE-7095 XE-6423 In the Unresolved Errors panel of the Dashboard, if you enter a value lower than 1 in the time frame field, the panel displays the value as a negative number. Workaround: Enter values greater than or equal to 1. If you log in to Data Integration Hub with Informatica domain authentication, a NotSerializableException error may appear instead of a Login Failure error. The operational data store event loader does not load events that Data Integration Hub processed during the last hour before daylight savings time begins.
