Congratulations on upgrading your existing ADSL service to your new ACN nbn Broadband Service This guide details the steps to follow when setting up your new nbn Service using your existing ACN supplied TP-LINK modem. If you ordered an ACN nbn + Phone Bundle service you should also have received an ACN Digital Phone service package that includes the equipment you need to set up the phone component of your nbn + Phone service, plus a separate User Guide. It is important that you complete the set-up of your ACN nbn Broadband service prior to attempting the set-up of the Phone component of your Service. For further details, refer to the User Guide provided with your Digital Phone service. Important Note: Before you begin the set up and configuration, please power off and disconnect your existing modem including any cables, phones, faxes and alarm services. Also ensure that any existing ADSL filters are removed. Ensure that you have received your ACN Activation email (sent to the email address you provided us when you signed up to upgrade to an nbn TM service). This email confirms that your new ACN nbn TM Broadband service is ready for set up. Set-up Check List Before you start setting up your ACN nbn Broadband there are three important points we need you to check. Without these, your new service may not work. 1 2 3 Ensure the nbn Network Connection Device (NCD) has been delivered and installed. You should have already received a nbn Network Connection Device either by a delivery or via a technician who may have visited your premises to install the device. The NCD is required to provide connectivity to the nbn network. If you do not have an NCD at your premise, please contact ACN customer service before attempting to setup your modem. Check that your NCD is powered on and has an active nbn network connection. Confirm that the Power, Connection and DSL lights on the NCD are solid BLUE. If one or more of the lights are not showing, please refer to the nbn setup guide for instructions on how to setup and troubleshoot your NCD installation. Check that you have received an email from ACN advising that your nbn service is active. This is sent to the email address provided at sign-up, approximately 1-2 business days after the NBN Co Technician has completed the installation work. This email confirms that your new ACN nbn Broadband Service is ready for set up. nbn TM Connection Device NCD (top view) Example of lights when NCD works correctly Power Telephone port Ethernet/Gateway port nbn TM Connection Device NCD (back view) Important Note: If you attempt to set up your service immediately after a NBN Co Technician completes their installation work in your home or office (i.e. before you have received the nbn service is active email,) your service may not work.
