Research Highlights II Perform(2008-2011) FP7 To continuously assess and monitor Parkinson s and other neurodegenerative diseases and optimize patients quality of life. Wearable system collects, records and pre-processes patient s monitoring data, prompts him/her to input food and medication intake data and to perform simple motor tests. Doctor can retrieve data via PC, revise treatment advice and notify patient of any required changes to medication or care schedule. Objective information on status of individual patient allows: Earlier detection of complications Increased efficacy of treatment Reduced cost and increased quality of life for patients Aims to be the standard for evaluating and monitoring such patients
