What s next? Are you interested in CompTIA A+ classes? These classes are facilitated by our partner IT Ready. Next CompTIA A+ class will start on July 2019. Class runs from Monday to Friday (9 am to 4 pm) for 8 weeks; More than one absence and you will be dismissed from the training program. Only 25 applicants will be selected to participate in this training program. 1. Complete the online application at www.creatingitfutures.org (see deadlines below) CompTIA class Starts July 8, 2019 September 23, 2019 Application Due June 7 th August 23 rd 2. Check your spam; you will receive constant communication via email from IT Ready indicating next steps. 3. Make sure you follow and complete all the steps by the deadline specified. 4. At some point, IT Ready will schedule you to take a TABE test (you must achieve 10 th grade level in Reading and Math) 5. Interviews with IT Ready staff. 6. Acceptance into the training program

Usually these meetings are weeknights or Saturdays morning. o Average invested hours per week: 9 More than two absences and you will be dismissed from the training program. You will receive via e-mail the following four (4) assessments - Each assessment needs at minimum 30 minutes to be completed. a) Analytical Skills: Focuses on evaluating the cognitive skills that are traditionally considered analytical. Such skills include determining the next in a sequence, identifying differences, drawing comparisons, visualizing written cues, etc. CHECK YOUR SPAM Assessments will come from the email: support@kenexa.com b) Logical Reasoning: Focuses on evaluating deductive reasoning concepts. Pencil and paper is suggested to use with this assessment.

c) Computer Literacy: Addresses simple computer troubleshooting and maintenance as well as the basics of navigating through Windows. Topics covered by this test include hardware, software, safety, and the Internet. d) Math to solve problems: Aims at evaluating an individual's skill in interpreting and solving math problems. Topics include travel expenses, algebra, percentages, and ratios. 3.
