Case Studies

PingAccess, which manages security settings for network applications, needed an administrator configuration utility that had a slick UX/UI. Prior to bringing us on, the client s customers were using manual terminal commands. The Ping Identity team built the back end and API while we simultaneously built out the front end, resulting in increased customer satisfaction. 16

Old Navy & CP+B Old Navy needed a technical solution that could handle the traffic of Black Friday. The solution had to run on a single server, talk to an existing MySQL database, create customer lists using Redis, and work with their CDN. Quick Left created a Node.js solution, which handled 10MM+ hits on the first day and allowed millions of people to create their holiday wish lists successfully. x *We weren t responsible for the art direction nor did we get to work with Mr. Takei 17

Awe.sm is now part of Unified Social, and is a platform for tracking and analyzing social media marking data. With a featurerich API already in hand, we collaborated with the Awe.sm team to develop a dynamic, interactive dashboard for viewing, querying, and visualizing the ROI of social media investment. The new front-end UI helped Awe.sm increase revenue as it drove more customers into their analytics ecosystem. 18

We built Sprint.ly to meet our project management needs. Our goal was to focus on usability and front-end performance. Story Creation is at the heart of the process. We used some of the latest JavaScript libraries including Backbone.js to create a robust management platform that we use everyday internally and with many of our clients! 19

Gociety approached us to create a new mobile experience building on their web-based social network for outdoor enthusiasts. Taking advantage of their existing API, we designed and developed a cross-platform app built with Apache Cordova which introduced the concept of sharing and joining plans, making it quick and easy for users to browse & locate activities or partners on the go. 20

TrainingPeaks, a software development company in the athletic industry whose platform is widely used by athletes and coaches, needed a more scalable application than their current technology platform. Our team helped rewrite their main application in HTML5 and JavaScript and migrated it over to the new technical platform. 21

Jones E-Global Library needed to support a wide array of devices which prompted our use of Apache Cordova in order to reuse shared HTML and JavaScript across mobile phones, tablets and desktop browsers. Quick Left used Node.js and Backbone.js to accomplish this task, partly due to the client s desire to embrace new technologies, but also because of our expertise in these areas. 22

We began using an evolving API as an interface into Photobucket s systems, but as the product matured, it was decided that a direct integration into Photobucket s code stack was needed. Working closely with Photobucket s engineering team, we were able to convert a standalone API based javascript application into a directly integrated part of their application. 23
