falanx Cyber Falanx Cyber Awareness Training: Educating your staff

Contents What is Cyber Security Awareness Training? 3 Why choose Falanx for your awareness training? 4 Types of training 5 Testimonials from our clients 7

What is Cyber Security Awareness Training? When it comes to cyber security you may have the best technology to protect your systems from being hacked, but how secure is your human firewall? Most cyber attacks start with social engineering. All it takes is for one person to click on a wellconstructed link, have a weak password, let the hacker-in-disguise into the building and your systems are immediately compromised. This can have a potentially devastating and damaging effect on many aspects of your organisation. These sessions will help you and your colleagues understand the pitfalls, consequences and what to look out for not just in the office but also at home. Our goal is to help you create a security-aware culture that will be reflected in all parts of the business. Falanx Cyber s Security Awareness training has universally excellent reviews from the hundreds of companies that we have helped. Our trainers are highly-experienced keynote speakers who have appeared on BBC and ITV television, and have the unique experience of also being both technical hackers and social engineering specialists, devising and executing physical intrusions of a wide range of buildings and facilities. They will bring this experience to the training, creating a unique, entertaining and highly-engaging experience for all staff. 3

Why Choose Falanx for your awareness training? Recognised international speakers Our trainers have delivered cyber awareness training to hundreds of organisations world-wide, regularly speak at international conferences, and appear on BBC and ITV television as cyber security advisers. Real-world Experience Our trainers are also social engineers and hackers and will bring their real-world experience to the training, focusing on the hacker s perspective and showing their methods and motivations. Highly engaging and entertaining The training always includes enthralling stories from the trainers own experience of social engineering to illustrate the topics. Demonstrate the Risk The cyber security awareness training can be combined with email phishing or physical intrusion of your buildings. Nothing hits home with staff quite as much as showing hidden camera footage of the tutor breaking into the building in advance of the training, then showing them an email they d clicked on the day before that gave our team access to their password. 4

Types of training We offer three types of training: face-to-face sessions aimed at all staff in your business, board-level presentations, and complete awareness programme management. Face-to-Face Cyber Security Training Our classroom-based cyber security training is aimed at all staff and delivered at your offices, aiming to educate staff on the main cyber attacks and how they can be targeted in both their work and home life. The training is deliberately nontechnical, aiming to engage and entertain your staff. We use relatable and entertaining real-life stories from our own experience to show how cyber attacks can affect them as individuals as well as at work. The training is typically 60-90 minutes per session, and each session can accommodate as many staff members as you can fit into your training room. The training covers the following areas, which can be customised to your needs: 1. Social engineering and social media 2. Email phishing, including ransomware and Business Email Compromise 3. How to choose a strong password 4. Mobile device security and public WiFi 5. Hacker profiles and the impact of a data breach 5

Board-level Presentations The board are a key driver in protecting your organisation from cyber attacks. Our board-level presentations take a higher level view of cyber security, discussing the impact of a cyber attack on the business, the likely attackers and their methods and motivation, and key advice on how to protect against attacks using the concept of cyber resilience. Our aim is to give the board the knowledge they need to make the correct decisions on how the organisation should be protected, and how it should prepare for a cyber attack that does breach the defences. Awareness Programme Management Our flagship service is our managed awareness programme. This service uses a powerful combination of learning tools to engage your staff, using our experience from the offensive side of security, making the training relevant and interesting to all. The service consists of the following elements: Board-level presentation to engage the organisation from the top down Regular email phishing attacks to test staff awareness to the current techniques used by hackers, tracking key metrics on who interacted with the exercise Short, animated videos unique to Falanx Cyber and tailored to your organisation, delivered to you to use internally and embedded into the phishing exercises if a staff member opens the phishing link or attachment Face-to-face awareness training to all staff, using results from the phishing and social engineering exercises to illustrate the real risk to the business Specific, enhanced training for those with highrisk roles, such as IT, finance and call centre staff 6

Testimonials from our clients The cyber security training today was really good and insightful. The presentation delivery was fantastic and kept me interested through the whole presentation. It is fascinating as well as quite scary how easily a system can be hacked or how posting something that we believe to be harmless can have a bigger impact then we think. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. I just wanted you to know that I have never had so many staff come up to me and say how enjoyable/interesting/scary they found the sessions. Using real life examples was very powerful. The tutor quickly built rapport with the group and used humour to make the examples memorable. The tutor was fantastic! Really engaging and really knowledgeable. Once again, thank you for running the training sessions. There s certainly been a buzz around the office about it and the feedback has been excellent. I have had positive feedback from a wide range of attendees and it has had a really positive impact on security awareness for colleagues. Our awareness training service is designed to help you educate your staff, who are your first and last line of defence against cyber attacks. From single day awareness training sessions, through to full awareness programme management, we will educate your staff using our unique combination of real-world stories, humour and highly-relevant and up to date advice. 7
