hapter : Getting Started 0 2 Step 0 - Sending Messages from your PL to the ViewMarq Sending messages one at a time from the P software is not always convenient. It is much more common to use your control system to display a series of messages or to control messages/data to be displayed based on your control system conditions. s you create a message in the ViewMarq software, the software creates an SII string of commands that the ViewMarq recognizes to display the message you created. This string may be copied to the P clipboard and pasted into your PL s instruction or memory, and sent either serially or over Ethernet to the ViewMarq. The ViewMarq can receive an SII ommand String by: Protocol onnection SII RS-22 (Port ), RS (Port 2) Modbus RTU RS-22 (Port ), RS (Port 2) Modbus TP Ethernet Port 2 RS Port RS22 + - SG TX RX RTS RJ2 Port RS22 RJ Ethernet The following example shows you how to send messages to the ViewMarq from an utomationirect LIK PL using RS-22 and the SII protocol. See hapter - Sending Messages from a PL to ViewMarq for more information. - User Manual, st Ed. Rev. F M-USER-M

hapter : Getting Started ) Using the LIK Programming Software set Port 2 on the LIK PL om Port to match the default settings for the ViewMarq LE message display as shown below: Protocol: SII aud Rate: 00 Parity: Odd Stop it: ata its: 2) In the ViewMarq Software, type and configure a message. opy the string in the Message String window by selecting opy on the Message String Toolbar. 2 0 2 User Manual, st Ed.
