Any other use or use under other operating conditions is considered to be improper and may result in personal injury or property damage. Installation and starting up 4 Installation and starting up Unpack and carefully check that there is no transportation damage before using the unit. Keep the equipment packaging. To fully protect the device against vibration, dust and moisture during transportation or storage use the original packaging or your own packaging material suitable for transport or storage, respectively. Create all connections while the device is off. Use the shortest possible high-quality cables for all connections. Take care when running the cables to prevent tripping hazards. The unit is designed for wall or tripod mounting. For this purpose, there is a mounting bracket on top of the unit. Using the two M10 threads, the device can be mounted vertically or horizontally with suitable screws on a tripod. Alternatively, there are two bores available for wall mounting using suitable mounting hooks and anchors (mounting hardware not included). First, connect the loads to the terminals on the sides of the device. If you want to operate the device in DMX mode, establish the DMX connection to the controller. Installation and starting up Connections in DMX mode Connect the DMX input of the device to the DMX output of a DMX controller or another DMX device. Connect the output of the first DMX device to the input of the second one, and so on to form a daisy chain. Always ensure that the output of the last DMX device in the daisy chain is terminated with a resistor (110 Ω, ¼ W). dimmer pack 14

Operating 6 Operating Starting the device To start up the device, connect it to the mains. The device is immediately ready for operation. Pull the power plug of the unit to turn it completely volt-free. dimmer pack 20

Operating Main menu Press [Mode] to activate the main menu. Use the buttons [Up] and [Down] to select a submenu. When the display shows the desired sub menu, press [Setup] to open it. To close the main menu, press [Mode]. The following table shows the setting options. Plug and connection assignment 8 Plug and connection assignment Introduction This chapter will help you select the right cables and plugs to connect your valuable equipment so that a perfect light experience is guaranteed. Please take our tips, because especially in Sound & Light caution is indicated: Even if a plug fits into a socket, the result of an incorrect connection may be a destroyed DMX controller, a short circuit or just a not working light show! DMX connections The unit offers a 3-pin XLR socket for DMX output and a 3-pin XLR plug for DMX input. Please refer to the drawing and table below for the pin assignment of a suitable XLR plug. Plug and connection assignment DMX connections A five-pin XLR socket serves as DMX output, a five-pin XLR plug serves as DMX input. The drawing below and the table show the pin assignment of a matching coupling. Protecting the environment 9 Protecting the environment Disposal of the packaging material For the transport and protective packaging, environmentally friendly materials have been chosen that can be supplied to normal recycling. Ensure that plastic bags, packaging, etc. are properly disposed of. Do not just dispose of these materials with your normal household waste, but make sure that they are collected for recycling.
