OVERVIEW The Scenarios module in the Requirements Definition Tab are used to describe the flow of events or the internal working of the application, graphically. Since Scenarios describe the flow; they also elaborate on the application s dependability and precedencies among scenarios and mockups. Mockup shapes in scenarios can be used to connect the scenario with an existing Mockup file or create a new one on-the-spot. KEY TAKEAWAYS Individuals will learn how to perform the following tasks from this tutorial: Using the Scenario Toolbar Creating a new Scenario Opening an existing Scenario Modeling Scenario using shapes Linking between mockup shape and file All rights reserved Page 2 of 15
SCENARIO TOOLBAR The Toolbar is displayed above the Modeling Area of the scenario. It mainly contains the general options available for the shapes that are added to the scenarios. OPENING AN EXISTING SCENARIO Scenarios created by a user are available to all other users that have proper access to the relevant team project. After opening a scenario users can update them, save them, link Work Items to them etc. The steps to open an existing scenario are described below. 1. Navigate to the desired folder in the Folder Explorer and double-click on the desired scenario to open it. All rights reserved Page 6 of 15
In the event that the scenario has been already checked out by another user, it is opened in read-only mode with the message highlighted in the image as seen below. 2. Click the Refresh Button after some time to see if the scenario is available to be checked out. In the event that the scenario is available to be checked out, it is initially opened in read-only mode with the message highlighted in the image as seen below. All rights reserved Page 7 of 15
3. Click the Edit Button in the message bar. The scenario is then opened in editable mode. All rights reserved Page 8 of 15
MODELING SCENARIOS USING SHAPES Modeling a scenario is the process where shapes describing the actions are added to the scenario. This process leads to the representation of the flow or internal working of the application as a scenario. The following steps describe how to model a scenario. 1. Open the desired scenario using the Folder Explorer. 2. Rename the Start control as per requirement. All rights reserved Page 9 of 15

& Mockup shapes added to the scenario Mockup shape in Smart Panel While modeling a scenario, Mockup shapes can be added to represent the required flow of events. These Mockup shapes can be linked to existing mockups already designed, or relevant mockups can be added on-the-spot (and designed later on). At the time of adding the Mockup shape, it can be linked to an existing mockup using the drop down menu. If user does not link at the time of Mockup shape then a new mockup is created. If the user decides to change the linked mockup then it can be done using the Link control (displayed upon selecting the control in the Modeling Area). The same process is followed to link scenario shapes with existing scenarios All rights reserved Page 15 of 15
