WHIRLYBIRD WWS-A is an Automatic weather station you can count on for reliable and accurate environmental measurements. WWS-A comes with Anemometer, Rain Gauge, Humidity & temperature sensor, soil moisture sensor and WDL-A Data logger. Other sensors like solar radiation, soil temperature, leaf wetness and pressure sensor are optional. you can buy them separately. Sensors and the data logger are mounted on a single pole of 2 inch diameter. Pole could be supported by metal cables and clamps. Station will be supplied with a 5 watt solar panel which can be mounted on pole, and the data logger will be connected to the sensors with the cables provided. WWS-A supports 4 extra analog channels for measurements. Data is uploaded over a predefined server using GPRS communication. Data can be downloaded from web servers or from data logger manually. A 4 GB SD card is enough to store lifelong data and configuration files on it. A 16x2 LCD Display provides interface for viewing sensor s instantaneous data, GPRS status and system health. It also helps in data backup and system configuration. Lithium battery is provided for long life and fast charging over a 10 watt solar panel. One extra slot is available for battery expansion.solar panel capacity can also increased as MPPT charger is inbuilt in data logger. ULTRASONIC WIND SENSOR Introduction: Ultrasonic wind sensors has no moving parts that makes them extremely rugged and maintenance free. With digital serial output these sensors are easy to use and ideal for harsh locations where frequent maintenance is not possible. The two axis ultrasonic wind sensors offers fast response and update rate compared to cup type anemometers at low cost. Features: Low maintenance in absence of no moving parts, wear and tear get significantly reduced therefore low maintenance is required. Low wind speed detection could detect low wind speed which is not possible with cup type anemometers. Consistent performance over service life span. No routine calibration required. Extensive use of molded thermoplastic components gives maximum performance and resistance to corrosion. Maintenance: The rain gauge should be inspected periodically accumulated dirt should be cleaned from funnel, screen and assembly. Leveling screw may be readjusted at this. Periodic calibration may be desirable to ensure measured accuracy.
