2. How to set up and get connected SSID is simply the technical term for your Wireless Network. When you set up a wireless home network, you give it a name to distinguish it from other networks in your neighbourhood. You ll see these names when you connect your computer to your wireless network. Select 2.4 GHz if you require coverage at a longer range but may perform at slower speed. Select 5 GHz if you require coverage for shorter distances at faster speeds. Your WLAN Key is your password that you will need to enter to gain access to your Wireless Network.

4. Web configuration interface Start by opening your favourite browser, enter the IP Address http://192.168.100.1 in the address bar (it is the default IP address of the router) and then press enter to display the login page. You will now be taken to the login page where you can enter the default Username/Password located at the back of the router. After the password authentication is passed, the web configuration is displayed.
5. How to change your WiFi password 1. Select WLAN Tab 2. Enter your new pre-shared Key (WiFi password) 3. Click Apply
6. Inconsistent WiFi There are two main reasons for inconsistent WiFi performance and network access. 1. Signal Interference Appliances which are on the same radio frequency, like microwave ovens, refrigerators, wireless mice, and even cordless phones, will affect wireless signals. Televisions Microwave Ovens Refrigerators Mirrors Metals Water Bluetooth Devices Tiles 2. Signal Attenuation As the wireless signal encounters buildings, walls, and other obstructions, signal attenuation may result. Its performance will decrease rapidly as it travels over a longer distance or encounters more obstacles.
7. Improve your WiFi Out of the box your WiFi will work very well. If you would like to make your WiFi signal even better then you can change the WiFi Channel. Wireless routers can operate on a number of different channels. Ideally you want yours on a channel with as little interference as possible. A WiFi Analyzer App is readily available and will find the perfect channel in your house at busy times when everyone might be using the same channel. Once you have found a clear channel, you can switch to that channel on your WiFi device. WiFi Analyzer App To know which channel you should use, tap on the eye icon and select channel rating. There you will see the list of all the channels with star ratings attached to it. Your wireless signal You might need to boost your wireless signal. This is completely normal and there are a number of solutions available. WiFi range extenders Powerline adaptors WiFi Access points
8. Want to test your speed? We do not recommend speed tests via wireless at any time. Desktop and laptops with wired capability will typically have either 100Mbps or 1 Gbps connections. A relatively new device should be 1 Gbps. If your service is over 100Mbps, then testing with a 1 Gbps adapter is essential. 1. Connect your device to the provided equipment using a hard wired connection. Never test on WiFi. 2. Use the supplied grey cable to connect to your laptop. 3. Check the speed of connection to the provided equipment; this can be checked in your laptop s network properties. 4. Use a high performing up-to-date device rather than an old laptop. Using older devices can adversely affect the performance. 5. Reboot your laptop to ensure it is operating the minimum software to run and do not open any applications other than a web browser. We recommend using the latest versions of Chrome, Internet Explorer or Firefox. Please ensure only one browser window is open and with no tabs. 6. Ensure that no anti-virus scanner is active as this can significantly increase the load on your computer. But be sure to turn it back on afterwards as leaving your scanner off is a security hazard and it is not recommended. 7. Ensure you are not running any VPN (virtual private network) type of application at the time of speed testing as this can severely hamper the results. 8. Please ensure no other devices are connected to the router as they will contend for the available bandwidth. 9. In your Internet Browser enter https://beta.speedtest.net/ which will take you to a page where you will be able to test your speed. 10. Please note down your speed test results for both up and down speeds and compare them with the expected speeds for the device you are testing. Then send a screenshot of your results. 11. Perform three tests and record all results.
