1 OVERVIEW In order to service the wireless transceiver requirements with long distance, high accuracy, secure and to be compatible with high number of connection standards and type of terminal devices such as watt-hour meter, contactor, supervisory equipment, alarm devices, ect. ATS introduces the SmartModem product as a transceiver and data link product based on mobile data infrastructure to transfer data from terminal devices to server as well as from server to terminal devices. SmartModem meets the growing need for wireless data transmission over long distance with high accuracy and good security via GSM/GPRS/EDGE/HSPA telecommunications system. This device allows connection of multiple devices at unlimited distance for system monitoring and control. APN and VPN connection Modem be configured to use mobile network APN and can connect to Main and Backup servers using VPN connection
