Installation of PC Wrapper Requirement for installing PC Wrapper: at least 2GB RAM at least 10GB hard drive tested with: PC Wrapper version 1.0-amd64 10.00 build 034 Here is a step-by-step guide to install PC Wrapper on your device. For a successful installation, you will need a disk, such as a USB stick and internet access. Step 1: Download and conversion of PC Wrapper In the first step, please download the latest version of PC Wrapper at this link: https://pc-wrapper.com/download/ Burn the downloaded file either to a DVD or strike it up on a USB stick. You can use one of the following tools to transform the downloaded file into a bootable one: Rufus UNetbootin DVD: Since Windows 7 it is possible, to burn an image of the file to a DVD by clicking right on the ISO file. Older versions of Windows operating systems require their own programs (e.g. ImgBurn or Free ISO Burner). Follow the instructions of the tool you downloaded (media selection, ISO file selection, etc. ).

Step 2: Installation of PC Wrapper Insert the USB stick into the device on which PC Wrapper is to be installed. When booting press the Boot Menu or BIOS button repeatedly the buttons vary by device. Usually they are located on Del, F2, ESC, F9, F11 and F12. Boot form your USB stick, click on Install Rangee OS in the selection dialogues and confirm the dialogues. (The procedure does not differ for a DVD installation.) After the installation you have to restart the machine via the Reboot option in the selection dialogue. You will be prompted to enter a serial number and a device type after the restart. These queries must be completed but it doesn't matter what you enter because the inputs are only for easier identification, if a TCMS is used. (This entire process takes about 10 mins.) Step 3: Presets and licensing In the following dialogue boxes you have the option of making some entries, such as set the connection to the internet or screen resolution. Afterwards the license manager will be displayed. Here you have the opportunity to request or import your license(s) online or offline. After successful licensing, the systems restarts again. After the restart the license manager does not appear any longer, instead you now see your desktop.

Step 4: Set up a new virtual machine Now click on the Kommbox icon on your desktop. Log in with the access data: User name: Password: administrator engels Now click on Connections in the menu. In this menu click on PC Wrapper Virtual Machines on the left. Now select New Virtual Machine in the header menu to set up a new VM. In this menu you have the possibility to enter a name for the VM, to use the auto-start function and to set the number of screens.

You also have to choose a DVD image for your VM. If this image has not yet appeared in the dropdown menu, you have to have to import it first: PC Wrapper Virtual Machines DVD Images (header menu on the left) Import (header menu).

Step 5: Download the operating system to be virtualised In order to import the right image please download the corresponding ISO file from the internet (for Windows operating systems e.g. from: https://winfuture.com) and copy it on a USB stick and insert it in the client again. It is also possible to integrate the ISO file(s) via network. After you clicked on the green check mark Apply on the bottom right, an icon with the selected VM name appears on the desktop. Step 6: Commissioning of the VM and installation of the operating system Now start the VM by clicking on the corresponding icon. The operating system you have chosen starts now and you can proceed with the installation of this operating system.
