PROJECT Polo Polo Meccatronica is a project promoted by the Autonomous Province of Trento. It aims to create a reference centre where enterprise, innovation and education systems can interact in order to develop innovative projects, supported by Trentino Sviluppo. Polo Meccatronica represents the evolution of the Business Innovation Centre of Rovereto, and it is a thematic hub focused on mechatronics, i.e. a synergistic interaction among a wide range of disciplines such as mechanics, electronics, information technology, hydraulics, pneumatics and sensors. www.polomeccatronica.it

Marconi T.I. and G. Veronesi V.T. Centre (hosting approximately (1.400 students/1.600 people) 1983 The Autonomous Province of Trento buys the whole Pirelli cotton mill area (closed in 1982) and converts it into a Business Innovation Centre (BIC) 2011 The process that transforms the Technology Hub into the new Mechatronics Hub starts 2016 One of the historical Pirelli buildings is torn down to make room for the new ProM Facility laboratories 2017 In March, the rapid prototyping lab, named ProM Facility, will be fully operational 2018 New buildings will be constructed, increasing the production spaces. www.polomeccatronica.it
