The SBR-AC3200P is more than just a Wi-Fi Router. It is the start of a new home network experience. You can set it up as a stand-alone Router. And with the optional RipCurrent Extenders, you can set up a high-speed whole-home Wi-Fi network that uses your existing AC electrical wiring and outlets. For Internet connections, you must have a cable, DSL, or satellite Internet Service Provider (ISP) service connection to the Internet. 1 Set Up Your Router 8
9
A Reset your Internet modem by unplugging its power supply, waiting 30 seconds, and then plugging it back in. It will take a few moments for it to re-register with your service provider. 10
B Connect the SBR-AC3200P to an electrical outlet. The front LED will flash green. 11
C Connect the included Ethernet cable between the blue WAN port on the Router and an Ethernet port on your Internet modem. The front LED will turn solid green, indicating that the Router has connected to the Internet. This may take 2-3 minutes to complete. 12
D After the Wi-Fi LED on the back panel turns green, verify Router connectivity by accessing the Internet. Connect to the Router with a PC or other device using the SSID and passcode found on the bottom of the Router. You can also connect with an Ethernet cable (not provided). 13
2 Add Wired or Wi-Fi Extenders (sold separately) 14
15
A Plug in your RipCurrent Extender, into an AC outlet close to the SBR-AC3200P Router. If you have more than one Extender to install, finish installing one before you move on to the next one. SBX-AC1200P Wi-Fi Extender SBX-1000P Wired Extender 16
The RipCurrent network will connect automatically in a non-encrypted mode, indicated by a red status LED (located on the back of your Router or the side of your Extender). This may take 2-3 minutes to complete. 17
B Relocate the Extender to the room where you want to extend your network. Use the SBX-AC1200P Wi-Fi Extender anywhere you need to improve the Wi-Fi signal. The LAN port can be used to connect an Ethernet device such as a TV or gaming console to the network. 18
Use the SBX-1000P Wired Extender anywhere you need to connect an Ethernet device such as a TV or gaming console to the network. 19
C Check your RipCurrent signal strength. Rear panel LEDs on the Router and on the side of RipCurrent Extenders will indicate the signal strength. Red = Fair signal Amber = Good signal Green = Excellent signal 20
If the LED is red or amber, consider adjusting the location to find a better signal. Once you re satisfied with the connection quality, you can begin installing the next Extender, if you have more than one to install. 21
