3D TECHNOLOGIES AS GLOBAL TREND CADDprint d.o.o. who we are The company (www.caddprint.hr) was established in 2006. in Varaždin and from our first steps we are constantly initiating newest technologies and developing innovative whole solutions in world s standards. Our essential activities are research and development of 3D technologies (digitalization, 3D print and 3D software), 2D LFP digital print, data capturing and support to the entire field, CAE/CAD in electrotechnics, and visual communications and event support. As a tenant of Techno park Varaždin we are based near all most important congress centres, universities and successful companies - this creates even higher ambition for widening of the company, and sets it forward in world s standards. Cutting edge 3D and 2D technologies, work flows and technical know-how are some of the main products and services which we can offer. Positive experience in international event organization (seminars, workshops, hands-on demos, ) gives as even better motivation to promote 3D technologies and their broad application. Image your 3D design (architecture, multimedia, new product design, industrial design, ) becoming reality in just a few hours or imagine that you have some old piece of art work (jewelry, statues, antique picture frames etc) which you would like to resurrect and reuse. With 3D scanning, modeling and 3D printing we can refurbish them and even add some new features further more we can forward our results (in example 3D scan file) to other specialists and small entrepreneurs who are working in niche markets (goldsmiths, jewelry designers, mold making companies, packaging and plastic products making industry, ). They can use our results to perform their own working processes, they can make their own products and by that expand their business so, in indirect way, CADDprint d.o.o. is helping and stimulating small-medium entrepreneurship and craftsmanship. Our goal is to present these incredible technologies to broad public because the possibilities of application are huge and they leave room for constant expanding and inventing new ways of using 3D. Just image that one day you will be able to log on some web site which will have all Michelangelo s greatest statues scanned and archived for 3D viewing and exploring every single detail of it this is not future, this is reality. Wright now there are several web sites with similar concepts that are using our 3D technologies with this we are helping to create new ways of communication trough digital on-line world libraries and museums. DSSP Global trend in usage of 3D technologies is expanding into all spheres of human functioning and creating. The process is also known under acronym DSSP. And what exactly is DSSP? The acronym stands for Digital Shape Sampling and Processing and it determines relation between 3D technologies - hardware and software equipment plus all processes needed to digitalize data. Digital shape sampling represents capturing digital data, with all colors and textures it references to 3D objects digitalization. The word processing represents editing and modeling computer data, which helps us to prepare the 3D computer file for use in different applications, like computer animation, visualization, simulation and other. Correctly prepared file can be used for model production, rapid prototyping (RP) and rapid manufacturing (RM) with 3D printers and other machines in this technology area. DSSP was used for the first time in year 2005 in SME Blue Book with title: Capturing a Competitive Edge Through Digital Shape Sampling & Processing (DSSP).

Data capturing trough 3D scanning With 3D scanner we can spatially capture data such as shape of surface and/or texture of the object. Digitalization of the object serves to support archiving, analysis, computer visualization or further planning. Program software for managing and analyzing 3D files: Geomagic is a program tool for managing exit data from 3D scanners, which enables work with model surfaces, preparation of CAD files (NURBS) and comparison with original CAD file. Magics program software enables handling with most of CAD files and their preparation for technology of rapid prototyping and production. Program also enables editing and optimization of 3D models, part analyzing, process and design corrections on STL file, file preparation, project documentation, production preparation and more.
