Basic Operation Guide Welcome to the world of Digital Paper! [Home] Screen (Home) button Displays the first activated screen (the [Home] screen). (Back) button Returns to the previous screen. (Menu) button Displays the available option items for each application. (Power) button (Sleep mode cancel button) Turns the device on/off, and cancels sleep mode. Document Page When selecting a document to open, "Document Page" is displayed. Swipe to turn to the previous page Swipe to turn to the next page Orientation Switches to four page view or nine page view Displays the next page Page indicator Displays the previous page * Tap the page indicator on the page control bar, and the page control box is displayed. You can input a page number and move to that page. Tap the page number and tap [OK]. Swipe and hold your finger on the touchscreen to turn pages continuously. Release your finger to stop. 2/7
Toolbar 1 Tap on the top of the document/note page to display annotation icons on the toolbar. Tap it again to hide them. * The setting is retained. Shows the tab list Handwriting: Blue/Fine Blue/Bold Red/Fine Red/Bold Highlights text Erases handwriting or highlight Sticky Note: Sticky Note (Handwriting) Sticky Note (Text) 2 Tap an icon on the toolbar for operations such as writing or deleting annotations. Bookmark for this page on/off Undo ( )/redo ( ) an operation such as handwriting or erasing * means the operation is not possible. Insert/delete page*: Insert New Page Delete Current Page * This function is for the Note page. 3/7
Handwriting, Eraser Handwriting characters or pictures Width and type of handwriting Blue/Fine Blue/Bold Red/Fine Red/Bold You can handwrite characters or pictures with the supplied stylus. Tap (Handwriting) on the toolbar to select the type of handwriting. * Blue and red lines will appear as black and gray respectively on the Digital Paper device. However, they will be displayed as blue and red when transferred to a computer. Erasing handwriting or highlight Press the stylus button to erase. Alternatively, tap (Eraser) on the toolbar to switch to Eraser mode. Drag across the handwriting or highlight with the stylus, then lift it to erase. 4/7
Zoom In/Out (Return to the Original View) Zooming in Pinch out (touch the screen with two fingers and open them) to zoom in the display. The zoom icon is displayed and the page will be zoomed in. You can write characters or draw pictures with the stylus while in zoom mode. Slide your finger to reposition the page while in zoom mode. Zooming out (Return to the original view) Pinch in (touch the screen with two fingers and close them) to zoom out the display. Press the (Back) button to return to the default view. 5/7
Tab List, Tab Panel Tap to display the opened tab list vertically. Tap the tab panel view area to display the tab panel. Tab panel Tap a tab to switch to the selected document. Tab panel close icon Closes the tab panel. Tap the top of the screen to display the tab panel again. Tab list Tap a file name to open a different document. Tap to close the file. 6/7
Note 1 Press the (Home) button and tap [Note], then tap [Create New Note] to create a new 2 Write in the note with the stylus. note. One page is created by default. Turn the last page to add a new page at end of the file. To insert a new page before the current page, tap (Insert/Delete Page) on the toolbar and tap (Insert New Page). The note s template can be changed in the settings menu. 7/7
