USE CASE WORKLOADS AND MIGRATION MANAGEMENT IN HYBRID CLOUD CONTEXT CONTEXT This use case has been developed for customers that begin planning a move to the cloud, including critical applications. Three main scenarios are covered: workloads migration to public cloud, backup of on-premise environments to a disaster recovery virtual site on public cloud, management of hybrid cloud environments. VALUE Migration of the workloads is usually the most complicated part of a migration to public cloud journey. Using a framework of processes and automated tools it is possible to reduce the complexity of the migration and ensure a smooth transition to cloud. This has been tested and validated in ACIC and it is available as a reference for interested customers. THE SOLUTION The solution is based on one single tool to manage all the environments. The migration lifecycle is reduced with automatic workloads type conversion, providing protection during the migration at the same time. THE TECHNOLOGY The solution is based on Commvault technology in synergy with the other technologies used to developed the solution such as: VMware, Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Database, and the target environments on public cloud (AWS and Azure). USE CASE BACKUP AND RESTORE OF A PRIVATE CLOUD PLATFORM CONTEXT The use case has been developed for customers that have a private cloud platform based on Openstack in place or want to implement it. VALUE The best practices to protect data in a Openstack environment are still not very well defined. This use case can be considered one of the possible reference architecture for data protection in such environment. The design and the solution implementation has been tested and validated in ACIC and it is available for demos. THE SOLUTION The solution is based on one single tool to protect both VM and the Openstack platform itself. Data protection is achieved agentless and the restore can be done at file level granularity. USE CASE E-DISCOVERY AND AUTOMATION FOR GDPR COMPLIANCE CONTEXT Any organization holding or processing personally identifiable information (PII), including names, phone numbers, account numbers, addresses, email that need to be compliant with GDPR regulation in short term. VALUE Accenture can help customer to be quickly compliant with GDPR regulation, providing an initial snapshot of data security status, highlighting the level of risk associated with that data, suggesting a number of quick wins to improve security posture, and informing the GDPR program of the scale remediation to resolved data security challenges.
