Welcome to Araknis Networks Thank you for choosing our new line of Araknis 310 Routers. With Gigabit connectivity on all ports, Multi- (up to 3) and USB capabilities, and advanced networking functionality (QoS, Vs, VPN, port forwarding), these routers are top of the line and meant for some serious networking applications! Step 1: Unbox Router Rubber Feet (4) Rack-Mount Kit IEC Cable 6

Step 2: Install A Rack Mount B Wall Mount (310 only) C Shelf Mount NOTES: For Rack Mount, the router can be mounted in an EIA standard size 19-inch rack or chassis, which can be placed in a wiring closet with other equipment. To install, attach the mounting brackets to the router s side panels (one on each side) and secure them with the screws provided (please note that these brackets are not designed for palm size routers). Do not stack other equipment on top of the router to avoid possible interference or damage. The 310 routers both have the same center-mounting rack ears included. The products can be mounted onto thick plywood or concrete walls. 2018 Araknis Networks 7

Step 3: Connect The router is powered by an IEC cable. Power off all your network devices before connecting the router. A B D E F C Connection Procedure Step 1: Power off all network devices. Step 2: Connect the modem(s) to the port(s). Step 3: Connect the cable(s). Step 4: Connect any USB devices (optional). Step 5: Connect the router to AC power. A: Power supply input. B: USB 3.0 port. C: Reset button (simple reboot/factory reset) D: ports. E: ports. F: / combo ports (configure optionally). 8

Step 5: Verify Operation B C D A 1. A Power LED On: system is up. Off: system is down. 2. B 1Gbps/PoE LED On: port connected at 1Gbps speed. Off: port is connected at 10/100Mbps speed. 3. C Link/Act LED On: port is connected to another device. Blinking: packets are running through the port. Off: port is not connected to a device. 4. D LED On: combo port is in mode. Step 6: Log In to Web Interface A. A Make sure the Ethernet adapter on your computer is configured to DHCP mode or configure the adapter with a static IP address: IP Address: 192.168.1.x (x=any number from 2 to 99) Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 B C Open a web browser and enter http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar. Log in using the default credentials: Username: araknis Password: araknis If you can t get to the login page, check to make sure your computer has been issued an IP address by the router. You can also claim the router in OvrC and use web connect. 10

Step 7: What to Do Next A B C D E Click on Settings at the top of the menu bar. In the System submenu, configure: System name System IP address Time Zone & Daylight Saving Time In the submenu, configure: 1 through X settings In the submenu, configure: DHCP server settings IMPORTANT! In the Security submenu: Under User Accounts, change the admin password away from the default (and not to anything commonplace). This is essential for network security. Use the menus in the web interface to change additional settings. 2018 Araknis Networks 11

Other Access Methods: OvrC OvrC gives you remote device management, real-time notifications, and intuitive customer management, right from your computer or mobile device. Setup is plug-and-play, with no port forwarding or DDNS address required. To add this device to your OvrC account: A B C Connect the router to the Internet. Navigate to OvrC (www.ovrc.com) and log in to your account. Add the device (MAC address and Service Tag numbers needed for authentication). Web Browser Access Internet Mobile Apps OvrC Server 12

Pro Tip: Resetting the Router RESET Button A B Simple Reboot: Factory Default: Press the RESET button on the back of the router. The router reboots and the front status lights flash. Press and hold the RESET button for 10 15 seconds until the status LEDs flash once. The router then resets to factory default settings and reboots. 2018 Araknis Networks 13
