Microsoft Excel training course Many of us need to use Microsoft Excel in our jobs to produce a range of spread sheets to show a wide range of business data. Our Microsoft Excel 2010 Training Course is designed to provide those that attend with the basic skills right through the more advanced skills of using this very much used software. This is a 4 day training event that Revolution Learning and Development deliver on an open basis at locations across the UK. We can also deliver this even at or in near to your organisation if required. Although very powerful, the software can be quite complex and knowing how to get the very best out of it is key to harnessing its power. Who is this course Aimed At? Those who need to be able to create, edit and format Excel Spread sheets including creating basic calculations and formulas, right through to running macros. Microsoft Excel 2010 Training Course Objectives By the end of the course users will be able to: Produce a variety of spread sheets Use set up techniques and page formatting tools Create simple calculations and formulas Use basic Microsoft Excel functions Produce multiple sheet workbooks Use logical functions Sort, filter and subtotal data in the spread sheet Create graphs and charts to show data Create sophisticated spreadsheets that include complex functions Use analysis tools to summarise and extract data Use pivot tables, scenarios and database functions and auditing tools Use macros to automate tasks

Prerequisites Users must be proficient with a mouse and keyboard and know the basics of minimising, maximising, open and closing windows. Microsoft Excel 2010 Course Content Day 1 Basic Spread sheets The Excel Window Working with the ribbon and commands Using the help facility Navigating Excel, Selecting and Entering Data Creating, Saving and Closing Spread sheets Opening existing spread sheets Navigating around a spread sheet Entering, editing and deleting data Using auto-fill and creating custom lists Editing Data, Columns and Rows Inserting and deleting rows and columns Adjusting widths and heights of columns and rows Using the cut and paste options Page Set-up and Printing Using the print preview option Changing and applying print options Basic Formulas and Functions Using formulas to make a range of calculations i.e. add, subtract, divide etc Using the auto-sum function Using average, minimum and maximum functions Working with relevant and absolute cell references Formatting text and sizes Adjusting cell alignment Changing the formats of numbers i.e. dates, percentages, currency etc Adding borders and shading to spread sheets
