Charge overnight if possible or for atleast 4 hrs for a full charge.you may charge via your PC or the adapater that may have been included with your device. Do not use other adapters, as they may damage your device. When you connect device to PC, it will vibrate. This is normal. SETTING TIME & DATE 1. Open the timerset.txt file you downloaded from our website. This is found in the same section you downloaded the user manual. Right click and save it t your computer. Remember the location. Make sure it is saved in the same format,.txt file. Now open the file from your computer using an editor such as NOTEPAD in windows or TEXTEDIT in Mac OS X. 2. 2. The DATE and TIME is in the following format: 20130801021500 Y 2013 is the year, 08 is Month, 01 is day, 02 is the hour (2 o clock), 15 is minutes, 00 is the seconds. Then there is a space then the letter Y. The Y means you want the time watermark to show on the videos. You can change the letter to N so that the time water mark will not appear on the videos. Your choice. This can be changed anytime before a video recording. IMPORTANT: Please maintain the space between the digits and the letter. Your time will not adjust otherwise! 3. SAVE this file. 4. Plug the USB cable into your device first. Make sure you have an SD card inside the device before plugging in! 5. Plug the other end of the USB cable directly into your PCs USB port. 6. Please allow a few moments for your PC to recognize your device. Windows may install standard drivers for your device to work properly the first time you connect. This is normal. 7. In MY COMPUTER (Windows) or FINDER (Mac) your device now appears as an external drive, such as E: or F. Open that drive. Inside you may already see a folder named DCIM. This is normal. 8. COPY your file TIME.TXT from your PC, and PASTE it into your device drive. Do not paste it into the DCIM folder. Just paste it in the same section as y our DCIM folder. 9. The next time you use your device, it will start using the time you have set in the TIME.TXT file. If it does not show the correct time, please repeat the above steps. 10. Please always EJECT your device properly from Windows and Mac before disconnecting from your PC. Right-click on the Drive Letter (E or F, etc) and choose EJECT. Please wait until your PC notifies you that it is safe to remove the device before unplugging it Page 3
Digital Voice / Video Recorder : SB-KR-1500 To ensure you are working with the right function, you can open the right panel to see the indicator light action while you set the system to the right mode. IMPORTANT: If you get lost and not sure which buttons you pressed or what the unit is doing, simply turn unit off (see instructions below) and start from scratch. Unlock/ON/VIDEO button TURN ON: Press the UNLOCK botton for 3 seconds and release. all three indicator lights (RED, BLUE, YELLOW) will turn on then unit will vibrate once and stop. Then just the RED indicator light will remain ON. The unit is now turned on and in STANDBY MODE, ready for next instructions. TURN OFF: To turn unit off at any point, just press the LOCK button for atleast 3 seconds and release. The lights should all go off after that. If not try again. Or if you are in standby mode, unit will turn itself of after 1 minute. VIDEO: After turning unit on, as instructed above, quickly press the same UNLOCK button Indicator lights LOCK/OFF button VIDEO - NIGHT VISION MODE: Turn unit on as above. Then press and hold the night vision button for about 3 seconds and release. The yellow light will turn on and remain steady next to the red light. You are now in night vision standby mode. Continue with video recording as above.to remove night vision mode, stop video recording then press and hold the night vision button Indicator lights NIGHT VISION button Page 4
AUDIO ONLY RECORDING: 1. Turn unit ON (see instructions above) 2. Press the LOCK button once (quickly). You should now have the RED and BLUE lights ON 3. Press the LOCK button again. Now the BLUE and RED lights will alternate blinking. You are now recording AUDIO ONLY. As usual there will be a vibration to signal your action has been sucessful. 4. To stop recording audio, press the same LOCK button again. The light will go to steady followed by a vibration 5. Repeat as necessary Page 5

However, if you are having problems playing your files, or need more options, please download and try these programs. This software is free and can be downloaded directly from the links below. You can find support and tutorials for these programs on their respective websites. SafetyBasement can not provide software support for these programs As with ANY files you download from the internet, be sure to scan them for viruses using your particular virus scanner. Please go to this link, and choose the download for your version of Windows. Please note: Movie Maker is part of the Windows Essentials package. VIDEO EDITING for MAC OS X - imovie (Visit the Apple Mac App Store for latest version) imovie is a simple video editing program from Apple. It comes installed with your new Mac. The latest version is also available at the Mac App Store at additional cost. AUDIO PLAYBACK and EDITING - AUDACITY (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) Audacity is a popular audio editing program used by amateurs and professionals to edit simple and complex audio projects. You can use Audacity to convert your audio files to another format, such as MP3. There is a version for Windows and Mac OS X.
