Retrieving a Patient Record When connected you will be able to search for and retrieve ANY patient registered at your Organisation. When disconnected, you will be able search for and retrieve ONLY the Patient Records downloaded onto the Mobile Device. On the SystmOne Mobile Working Home screen single left click on the Patients button The Patient Records that are downloaded onto the Mobile Device are displayed A connection is required to perform a search for a Patient Record. Check the cloud symbol for connectivity status in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. This is the symbol indicating there is a connection The Search bar is at the top of the screen shown This can be used to search for any patient registered at your Organisation that is NOT downloaded to the Mobile Device NOTE: A connection is required to search for patients not downloaded Single left click on a Patient Record that is showing as downloaded onto the Mobile Device Check for the symbol below that indicates the Patient Record has been downloaded Page 2 of 9
NOTE: If there is no connection an icon will be displayed within the Patient Record in the bottom right hand corner of the screen to show that the Patient Record may not be up-to-date. Click on this icon to display a pop up message indicating when the Patient Record was last updated. The icon displayed indicates the Patient Record may not be up-to-date Single left click on the icon to show when the record was last updated Notice the connectivity status cloud indicating there is currently no connection click on the button to see confirmation The above message will flash on the screen temporarily and disappear The Patient Record is retrieved By default the Home screen element of the Patient Record is displayed The Home screen within a Patient Record displays: Use the glider bar to move up and down the Vertical Toolbar Page 3 of 9
The Demographics Box The Demographics Box is displayed horizontally across the top of the screen The Demographics Box displays Patient s full name (including preferred name) Address Telephone Number(s) Date of Birth and Age Gender NHS Number (shown as unknown in the example is a Test Patient) The Demographics Box remains visible to the user at all times Patient Status Alerts are shown in the top right hand corner of the Demographics Box Single click on the Patient Status Alert to view the description NOTE: Not all Patient Status Alerts can be displayed in Mobile Working. To view the Patient Status Alerts that are compatible in Mobile Working in the LIVE system use the Setup menu>data Output>Patient Status Alerts. Page 4 of 9
The Clinical Tree (Vertical Toolbar) The Clinical Tree or Vertical Toolbar in SystmOne Mobile Working looks different to the LIVE system. However, it performs in the same way. Single click on a node on the Toolbar to access that element of the Patient Record. Save & Discard The Save and Discard button perform in exactly the same way as the LIVE system. Single left click on the Save button to save the Patient Record. If connected, the data that has been inputted will be shown in the LIVE system after a few minutes. If not connected, once a connection is made and the system has synchronised the data that has been inputted will be shown in the LIVE system. Single left click on the Discard button to exit the Patient Record and not save changes. This option is used in the same way as the LIVE system. Allergies & Sensitivities Last 3 Consultations The last 3 Consultations will display in a compressed format to see the detail of the Consultation click on the + symbol and the Consultation detail is displayed in full. The Minus button collapses the view Page 5 of 9
Views The Views functionality means that all of the Views published to your Organisation e.g. Home Visit Summary are displayed within Mobile Working. If a component of a View is not available in Mobile Working the text View element missing will display. Current Consultation The Current Consultation functionality allows for free text entry of History, Examination, Diagnosis and Plan patient data. It will also allow for a read-coded entry and episodicity. Prescribing Current medication and current allergies and drug sensitivities are displayed. There is the functionality to prescribe acutely and record other medication. NOTE: Due to the nature of Mobile Working it is not possible to print a prescription. The prescription would need to be handwritten. An admin note field is available to record handwritten prescription and this will display in both the downloaded Patient Record in the Mobile Working module as well as the LIVE system. Repeat Templates Repeat Templates displays all current repeat templates for the patient. Record a new Repeat Template Amend a Repeat Template (if owned by your Organisation) Issue a Repeat Template (if owned by your Organisation) End a Repeat Template (if owned by your Organisation) Request an issue of the selected Repeat Template. This is will send a Task to the Organisation that owns the Repeat Template requesting an issue. Relationships The Relationships node on the vertical toolbar displays current patient relationships including the name, type of relationship, address and contact details. Page 6 of 9
There is also the functionality to: Record a New Relationship End a Relationship Templates (for data entry) All templates that are available at your Organisation are available within Mobile Working. If a component of the template is no compatible with Mobile Working the text Template element missing will display. Record new information onto a Template View previous entries on a Template Set Templates as a favourite Questionnaires Questionnaires can be created in SystmOne Mobile Working. Create a new Questionnaire View previously created Questionnaires Save Final Version Communications Communications that are held in the Patient Record on the LIVE system can be viewed in Mobile Working. The communication information displayed is Date Direction (Incoming e.g. Scans/Outgoing e.g. Letters) Sender Recipient View Page 7 of 9
Attachments The last 3 attached files will be stored on the device, by default. If a particular attachment is required, retrieve this when connected and it can be viewed. View the attachment Amend the Notes Record a New Attachment Take a Photograph Medical Drawings Medical Drawings can be viewed using this node. View existing medical drawings Create new medical drawing Record Vaccination The Vaccinations node can be used to record a new vaccination. Vaccinations that have already been recorded in the Patient Record can be seen using the Journal element of the Patient Record node. Patient Specific Tasks The Tasks node can be selected to view all patient specific Tasks (completed and incomplete) for the last three months. There is also the functionality to create a new Task. Referrals The Referrals node views incoming and outgoing referrals for the patient. View all referrals View referrals to here Referrals to elsewhere Past referrals Page 8 of 9
Sharing The patient s sharing preferences can be recorded in Mobile Working. Safeguarding Child Information The Safeguarding Child Information node can be used to view safeguarding information recorded in the Patient Record. This option is available if the user has the View Safeguarding Child Register access right and the patient has safeguarding data recorded. Pathology Reports The Pathology Reports node views any filed pathology results in the Patient Record. Numeric Readings The Numeric Readings node views numeric readings recorded in the Patient Record, plotted in graph format. Book a Visit Allows the user to book a visit when in the Patient Record, in Mobile Working. The details of this Visit will also show in the LIVE system if there is a connection, or at the point where Mobile Working synchronises with the LIVE system when a connection is found. Care Plans This node shows all currently applied Care Plans in the Patient Record. Perform a Care Plan Add Notes to the Care Plan View the History of the Care Plan Page 9 of 9
