Changes to the SmartCloud Notes Service URL In 2012, IBM implemented a new generic service URL, collabserv.com. The SmartCloud Notes service will begin to use this new URL on or after July 15. This may require system changes for our SmartCloud Notes and Engage Advanced subscribers. IBM will implement this change using an automated redirect from the old URL to the new URL for most Web-based access methods. Subscribers will still be able to access the service using www.lotuslive.com and will see it redirect in the browser address bar. Background In December 2012, IBM introduced a new URL, collabserv.com, as part of the IBM SmartCloud for Social Business services rebranding effort. In addition to the new URL, IBM added sub-domains to reflect both the SmartCloud service and geographic location. Additional updates are being introduced in July for the SmartCloud Notes URL. Redirects for existing Lotuslive.com URLs IBM will automatically redirect traffic from the *lotuslive URL to *collabserv URL without any further action on the part of the user. These redirects will remain in place until we completely phase out the lotuslive.com URL, and customers will be notified at least 90 days before the redirects are removed. That date has not been decided at this time and there are no plans being discussed to do so. Subscribers experience Here's an example of how it will work: When SmartCloud Notes subscribers log in to SmartCloud Notes the url in their browser will change from: https://mail.notes.lotuslive.com/livemail/inotes/mail/... to https://mail.notes.na.collabserv.com/livemail/inotes/mail... and future log ins can be accomplished from either the new URL or the old one. Both services will function as normal and subscribers can move seamlessly between them without any interruption in service. Customer Actions Needed Prior to July 15, 2013 SmartCloud Notes customers should take action by July 15, 2013 - If your organization has firewall, security device, or host file or DNS entries defined using the specific domain name it is essential that they add *.collabserv.com to their rules and settings to allow network traffic to and from the new domain. You should continue to retain lotuslive.com as an active domain, to ensure continuous operation. Do not delete it. IP addresses are not changing. So if IP addresses are specified in their firewall or devices no change is required. 7
