Getting Started! Overview Extension Features Add Job Board to your ecommerce website Manage Job Type, Location, and Gender Magento job manager extension adds a careers section to start recruitment right on your ecommerce website. You can publish a job post or schedule it for a later date along with criteria. Create meta data to better showcase a job opening with its type, location, department, etc. With manage applications section, you can screen out and shortlist candidates for a job. Configure SEO factors for each job as well as the careers section to maximize search engine exposure. Enable social share options to allow users share a job post with their friends. Creates a dedicated job section to easily publish vacant positions in your company right on your website. You can create multiple job types, locations, and data to better describe the nature of jobs you have to offer. Create Multiple Departments and Job Criteria Manage Job Applications and CVs Configure SEO and Social Share Options Select Email Sender and Template Add multiple departments to open jobs accordingly. You can also create job criteria and required skills for a candidate. Job applications and CVs submitted by the applicants can be viewed and shortlisted in a centralized space of this extension. You can add meta details to make sure a job page appears onserps. Enable social share buttons to make a job opportunity shareable. Select an email sender persona on behalf of your business. Installation Instructions Method 1 1. Unzip fme_jobs-x.x.x.zip to a local folder. 2.Make folder 'FME' in to your_magento_directory /app/code/ 3. Copy unzipped folder 'Jobs' to your_magento_directory /app/code/fme (If different name then rename it to Jobs) 4. Go to your_magento_directory /app/etc/ 5. Open config.php file in etc folder 6. Add below line in $modules array at the end 'FME_Jobs' => 1, 7. Now open console or shell window 8. Go to your magento directory and run the below command php setup/index.php update 9. Now logout from your admin panel and again login you will see FME Extensions Menu in Left Menu of your admin panel Method 2 1. Unzip fme_jobs-x.x.x.zip to a local folder. 2. User Guide After installation of module, make sure the setup is upgraded and static-contents are deployed. Login to admin panel and flush you Magento cache storage. I. How to Configure the Extension: Step 1 Go to Configurations: Once logged in to the Admin Panel go to the Configurations. You can enter there from Admin Menu > FME Extensions. Step 2 Change Jobs and Recruitment Manager Settings: Here you will have access to the following settings: Module Settings: Extension Enable: Use this option to enable/disable the module 6 User Guide www.fmeextensions.com
Jobs Settings: Enable Header Link: Select yes to enable the header for the module. Header Link Title: Enter a title for the header link Enable Footer Link: Select yes to enable the footer link. Footer Link Label: Enter a footer link label for the module Label for Jobs Module: Enter a label for jobs module, the label will appear on the main page of Jobs Module. Description for Jobs: Enter a description for jobs module, this description will appear on the main page of jobs module. Enable Side Bar Filter: If you have created meta data form the manage meta data section, you can enable side bar filters,which will appear to the left of Jobs main page. Enable Top Bar Filters: If you have created meta data form the manage meta data section, you can enable top bar filters,which will appear on the top of Jobs main page Show Expired Jobs: If you wish to show expired jobs, select to Yes. No. of Items to show in each side bar filter: This option will let you display fewer items in each filter and rest of data will be hidden in the form of show-more click able button feature. 7 User Guide www.fmeextensions.com
SEO Configurations: Page Title: Enter a page title for main jobs page. Description: Enter a meta description for main page. Keywords: Enter keywords for jobs main page. Slug: Enter the identifier to access your module (e.g. http://www.example.com/job) In this case job is slug. URL Suffix: Enter a suffix like.htm or html 8 User Guide www.fmeextensions.com
Job Detail Settings: Enable Application Form Popup: Select yes if you wish to display the application form in the form of a Pop modal. Jobs Sharing Option: Select yes if you wish to allow user to share the jobs on social networking sites. Email Options: Email Sender: Select email sender Email Template: Select email template II. How to Manage Meta Data: Step 1 Go to Manage Jobs: At the backend go to Manage Meta Data, you can go there from Admin Panel > FME EXTENSIONS. Here you will find all the meta data. You can edit already existing ones or add you ones by clicking Add Meta Data. You have to select which kind of meta data you want to add. III. How to Manage Jobs: Step 1 Go to Manage Jobs: At the backend go to Manage Jobs, you can go there from Admin Panel > FME EXTENSIONS. Here you will find all the jobs. You can edit already existing ones or add you ones by clicking Add New Job. 11 User Guide www.fmeextensions.com
Step 2 Add Job information: Here you can add the information about your job. For the purpose of this demo we have added the following information. Following are the fields we filled: Add New Article: Job Enable: Switch the button to yes if you wish to appear the job on the store front. Job Title: Enter the job title URL Key: Enter a unique URL key for the job; this will be used for SEO friendly URLs for detail page. No. of Positions: Select the number of open vacancies from the drop down Select Department: Select the department for the job the drop-downs Select Job Type: Select the Job type form the meta data created in the drop-downs Job Location: Select the job location form the meta data created from the dropdowns Select Gender: Select the gender from the drop-down Career Level: Select Career Level from the drop-downs Minimum Qualification Required: Select the data from the drop-downs Years of Experience Required: Select the data form the drop-downs Required Travel: Switch the button to yes/no Publish Date: Select a date that will determine when you wish to appear the job on the store front. Apply By: Select a date to know the applicants about the deadline, this date will also be used to give you option whether you want to show expired jobs on the store front. Required Skills: Enter required skills Job Details: Enter jobs details Meta Information: Page Title: Enter meta title for SEO purpose. Step 3 Frontend: Now go to the frontend demo yourjob will be featured as shown below. You can always go back and edit this information. IV. How to Manage Applications: At the backend go to Manage Applications, you can go there from Admin Panel > FME EXTENSIONS. Here you will find all the applications. In manage applications sections you can view/download CV add remarks to the applicants and you can also view all the required details as entered by the applicants during apply section from the front end jobs detail page. 14 User Guide www.fmeextensions.com
