Course 20412 : Configuring Advanced Windows Server 2012 Services Page 1 of 6 Configuring Advanced Windows Server 2012 Services Course 20412: 4 days; Instructor-Led Introduction Course 20412 is part three of a three-course series that includes courses 20410 and 20411. The series provides the skills and knowledge necessary to implement a core Windows Server 2012 infrastructure in an existing enterprise environment. Collectively, the three courses cover implementing, managing, maintaining, and provisioning services and infrastructure in a Windows Server 2012 environment. While there is some content crossover across the three courses, 20412 builds on the knowledge learned in 20410 and 20411, and it primarily covers advanced configuration and service tasks for deploying, managing, and maintaining a Windows Server 2012 infrastructure. This includes identity management, network load balancing, business continuity, disaster recovery, fault tolerance, and rights management. This course prepares the student for Exam 70-412: Configuring Advanced Windows Server 2012 Services. At Course Completion After completing this course, students will be able to: Implement advanced network services. Implement advanced file services. Implement Dynamic Access Control. Implement network load balancing (NLB). Implement failover clustering. Implement failover clustering with Hyper-V. Implement disaster recovery. Implement distributed Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) deployments. Implement AD DS sites and replication. Implement Active Directory Certification Services (AD CS). Implement Active Directory Rights Management Services (AD RMS). Implement Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS). Audience This course is intended for IT professionals with hands-on experience implementing, managing, and maintaining a Windows Server 2012 infrastructure in an existing enterprise environment, who wish to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to carry out advanced management and provisioning of services within the Windows Server 2012 environment. Students are typically be experienced system administrators and should have approximately two years of hands-on experience working in a Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2012 environment. A secondary audience for this course are candidates who plan to take Exam 70-412: Configuring Advanced Windows Server 2012 Services, or who are aspiring to acquire the Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) credential either in its own right or so that they can proceed to the Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) credentials, for which this is a prerequisite.
