AIR HANDLING UNIT CONTROLS STAND ALONE / INDEPENDENT OPERATION BMS INTERFACE (BACnet - B/IP, ETHERNET, MS/TP AND PTP MODBUS)

Standalone Panels: CONTROLS OVERVIEW On a standalone panel, a touch screen display is normally included for user monitoring and control. All setpoints, time programs, runtime logs etc. can be accessed and modified from this display unit. Trend logs are included in the controllers, but a PC/laptop is required to download the data when no front end is present. Depending on the amount of input/outputs required in the panel, any number of input/output modules can be added to the display unit to increase the capacity of the panel. Input types include; 0-10V, 4-20mA, dry contact (open/close), thermistors, pulse inputs (metering). Output types include; 0-10V, 4-20mA, 12V/24V on/off, relay outputs. Display units can also be mounted remote from the panel, so as to give local access to the system from other areas such as office's, reception area's etc. Alarms or faults that occur in the system appear as alarm messages on the display, with the time and date they occurred. A panel can be incorporated into a third party BMS system providing that the system is BACnet compatible. All our standard AHU s are complete with stand alone controls, and the prices include on site commissioning after install by certified Reliable control Engineer. 2

BMS Front End: With the BMS front end installed, the complete system can be viewed through a web browser, with access to all the points in the local display unit, trend log graphs, alarms, etc. If the system is connected to the site server/network, any PC on that network can access the system on a web browser, so no BMS software is required. A graphical representation of the controlled system is used as the interface, with all moving parts such as fans, pumps, valves etc. displayed as animations. Alarms appear as pop up messages and can be emailed automatically if required. Inputs such as temperature, humidity, meters etc. are logged automatically and shown as line graphs or in table format and can be exported to Excel format. The state of all outputs are also recorded to generate runtime logs for connected equipment such as fans, boilers, etc., to aid in determining equipment service intervals.
