HOW TO: Register as an Individual (NO TEAM): 1) Type www.parkinsonrockies.org/vitalitywalk into your web browser 2) This will lead you to the Vitality Walk website it should look like the photo below Page 2
3) Click REGISTER WITHOUT A TEAM 4) Select the appropriate Participation Type, enter any discount codes you may have, and your personal fundraising goal; click NEXT STEP NOTE: If you would like to make an additional donation on top of your registration, enter it under Additional Gift Page 3
5) Click JOIN AS A NEW PARTICIPANT Even if you participated last year and remember your username and password, you will need to register as a new participant. Each year we recreate the Vitality Walk website and old registration information is not transferred over from last year. Page 4
6) Fill out all fields with a red asterisk; click NEXT STEP a. Participant Center Access Information This is where you will create your new username and email. You will use these to access your online Participant Center b. Additional Information #3 Please be sure to enter the location where you will be walking this will help make your registration process faster. If you are not going to be walking but would still like to register, please be sure to select Choose to Snooze Page 5
7) Read the Waiver and click the box at the bottom left stating that you agree with the terms and conditions; click NEXT STEP Page 6
8) Review your registration summary; click COMPLETE REGISTRATION to continue on to PAYMENT If you would like to register another person, click REGISTER ANOTHER PARTICIPANT and follow the instructions found here Click HERE for instructions on how to register another person. Page 7
9) Enter credit card and billing information; click PROCESS PAYMENT Page 8
10) Registration is complete! You now have access to your Participant Center Page 9
HOW TO: Join An Existing Team 1) Type www.parkinsonrockies.org/vitalitywalk into your web browser 2) This will lead you to the Vitality Walk website it should look like the photo below Page 10
3) Click JOIN AN EXISTING TEAM 4) Type in the name of the team you would like to join; click SEARCH FOR A TEAM Unless your team is associated with a company, do not use the drop down menu located under Team Company. The team name will appear once you click SEARCH FOR A TEAM. 5) Find your team and double check the Team Captain is correct; click JOIN Page 11
6) Select the appropriate Participation Type, enter any discount codes you may have, and your personal fundraising goal; click NEXT STEP NOTE: If you would like to make an additional donation on top of your registration, enter it under Additional Gift Page 12

HOW TO: Register Another Participant 1) At your PERSONAL REGISTRATION SUMMARY, you will have the option to REGISTER ANOTHER PARTICIPANT; click REGISTER ANOTHER PARTICIPANT Clicking this button at your registration summary will allow you to register another person as an individual, a member of your team, or a member of the team you just created Page 26
2) Select the appropriate Participation Type, enter any discount codes you may have, and the other person s fundraising goal; click NEXT STEP NOTE: If they would like to make an additional donation on top of your registration, enter it under Additional Gift Page 27
3) Fill out all fields with a red asterisk; click NEXT STEP a. Additional Information #3 Please be sure to enter the location where they will be walking this will help make registration process faster. If they are not going to be walking but would still like to register, please be sure to select Choose to Snooze NOTE: If you register a second person using the REGISTER ANOTHER PARTICIPANT button, they will not have access to a Personal Page on the Vitality Walk website Page 28
4) Make sure the name at the top of the Waiver is correct and click the box at the bottom left stating that you agree with the terms and conditions; click NEXT STEP Page 29
5) Review BOTH registrations and make sure names, contact information, Participation Type, gifts, and total costs are correct; click COMPLETE REGISTRATION to continue on to PAYMENT If you would like to register another participant at this time, click REGISTER ANOTHER PARTICIPANT to repeat steps 1-5. Once you have repeated those steps, continue on to the next step. Page 30
6) Double check that the total is the same amount from Enter credit card and billing information; click PROCESS PAYMENT Because Elena is registered as an Adult and Megan as a Child aged 0-4, the total cost is only $30 as opposed to $60 for two adults. Page 31
7) Registration is complete! You now have access to your personal Participant Center. If you created a team, you will also have access to your team page (see page 31). Page 32

HOW TO: Access your Personal/Team Participant Center After you register for the Vitality Walk, you may want to access your online Participant Center in order to email friends and family for donation and check your progress towards your fundraising goal. Follow these steps to access your online Participant Center: 1) Type www.parkinsonrockies.org/vitalitywalk into your web browser 2) This will lead you to the Vitality Walk website it should look like the photo below Page 34
3) In the upper right hand corner of the page, enter your username and password that you created during the registration process; click LOGIN If you do not remember your username or password, follow the instructions here. If you mailed in your registration, please call the Parkinson Association of the Rockies office at (303) 830-1839 for your username and password. Page 35
4) The Vitality Walk website will reload. Where the username and password entry fields were, it should now say Welcome [your name]! with a LOG OUT and PARTICIPANT CENTER button next to them; click PARTICIPANT CENTER Page 36
5) A. IF YOU ARE A TEAM CAPTAIN, your Participant Center will look like the one below. From this main page, you will have access to your personal Participant Center as well as your Team Page. If you are not a TEAM CAPTAIN, please see #6 Page 37
6) If you are participating as an INDIVIDUAL or as a MEMBER OF A TEAM, your Participant Center will look like the one below. From this main page, you will have access to your personal Participant Center only. Page 38
HOW TO: Send an email from your Participant Center Sending an email from your Participant Center allows for a more streamlined donation process for your family and friends. Emails sent from your Participant Center will include a link to your Personal Page (learn to edit that here) so lessen the confusion. This process is the same for both Team Captains, Team Members, and Individual participants. Note: If you would like to send out emails using your regular email server (Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc.) and NOT through your Participant center, please click here for instructions on how to insert a direct link to your Personal Page. 1) From your main Participant Center page, click on the tab that says EMAIL Page 39
2) Email templates for a variety of actions are built into your Participant Center. For this example, I will send out an email asking for donations using the built in template. Click the SOLICITATION drop down menu; click the bubble next to Solicit Donation and click NEXT You can preview the email template by clicking the Preview next to the desired email Note: You also have the option of creating your own email from scratch using Blank Message the OTHER drop down menu. 3) This window is where you can edit your message to make it more personal. Once you have made your edits (don t forget you name and the subject line!), click NEXT Page 41
4) Now you can enter the email address of those you want to receive this email. You can either add them one-by-one by clicking ADD CONTACT or you can import your address book by clicking IMPORT CONTACTS Page 42
5) Once you have entered or imported your contacts, click the box next to each name to move them over to the Recipient List ; click NEXT Note: emails used for examples were blocked out for privacy Page 43
6) Preview your email before sending; click SEND Note: although the link to your page does not appear in the preview, it will appear in the emails sent to your recipients Page 44
7) And your email is sent! Below is a sample of the email people will receive that includes a link to your personal page and your team page (if applicable) Page 45
HOW TO: Edit your Personal/Team Page A link to your Personal/Team page is sent out to friends and family when you send emails through your Participant Center. You can customize your page(s) as much as you would like, including adding photos and text to tell your story. 1) From your main Participant Center page, click on the tab that says PERSONAL or TEAM PAGE 1) Page 46
2) For this example, I will be editing my PERSONAL PAGE. This initial page is where I can edit the text on my PERSONAL PAGE, including the title of your page and the body text; click SAVE If you would like to send out emails using your regular email server (Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc.) and NOT through your Participant center, you can copy/paste the Personal Page URL into your email message for an easy-to-follow link for your email recipients. 3) You can also edit photos on your PERSONAL and TEAM PAGE. To the right of the content, click on the PHOTO/VIDEO tab 4) You will see a default image for your page. To edit the image, click Choose File and select the image you would like to upload from your computer. You can also upload a video from your computer as well. Page 48
5) Once you have selected an image file from your computer, click SAVE/UPLOAD Note: the image will not update until you have clicked the SAVE/UPLOAD button 6) Click back to the CONTENT tab to preview your personal page Page 49

HOW TO: Recover Your Username or Password If you cannot login or have forgotten your username/password, follow these steps to recover them. 1) If you have forgotten your USERNAME, you will see a screen like the one below 2) Click Forgot User Name? to the right of the screen Page 51
3) Enter the email address you used to register; click SUBMIT 4) Your username information will be sent to that email address. The message you receive will look like the one below. Note: email information has been removed for privacy Page 52
