1. Corporate Design Manual All Corporate Design (CD) elements have been summarized in a Corporate Design Manual. This is the basis for all design elements of the BIOMOre project. It illustrates the appearance and application of the CD elements to ensure they are used in the right way. The document contains the elements developed thus far and will be extended by refining the marketing strategy later on in the project. It will depend on the marketing tools that are used in the future. The CD manual is attached to this report. Page 5

An Alternative Mining Concept The appearance. Corporate design means uniform shapes of all visually perceptible components of an enterprise. There is more than one typeface, logo or a particular color scheme. Rather, it is the clearly identifiable appearance and conveys a feeling. The strength of a brand awakens awareness and gives the consumer a feeling of confidence. The whole entrepreneurial success is determined by these factors.
The logo. The most important element of the corporate design and the communication strategy is the logo. It connects all areas, creates identification and specifies the addressee. The logo as a graphic character represents the BIOMOre project and thus is an essential component of the visual appearance. The logo is created as a wordmark, it is the visual centerpiece of this research and innovation programme. It incorporates all the attributes and values of this project. It serves as a sender of all communication activities and it is placed unchanged. The logo variations. The overall impression remains untouched. The only thing depending on application purpose or medium can be changed is the colourfulness and the eventual abandonment of the claim. An Alternative Mining Concept The colors. Black belongs like white and grey to the achromatic colors. We exclusively use black for running text due to its optimum legibility. Grey is unremarkable and stands for objectivity. Grey is used in the BIOMOre Logo to illustrate the tension between liveliness and practicality. Green is calming, neutralizing and is attributed to healing effects. Green stands for regeneration, naturalness and freshness. The typography. The corporate signature makes a significant style-forming contribution to the corporate design. The typeface is unobtrusive, clear and timeless. We use the widely-used font family Arial for all documents and templates to make sure that all of our participants are able to use it. This is very important, because the BIOMOre templates are designed in such manner that all participants can print their documents themselves. No other fonts and typefaces are allowed to be used. Thus, it is just necessary here to follow with all the materials used a consistently high-quality optics and communications line. The letterhead. In order to ensure visually uniform communication for everyday correspondence, a standardized letter sheet layout has been created via a Word template. The letter design contains folding and hole marks, the BIOMOre logo and the EU emblem with the verbal brand Horizon 2020.

The website. The BIOMOre website is the instrument of choice to spread information to stakeholders and provide information about objectives, results, working papers and other public deliverables.

The Power Point presentation. Additionally to the communication and reporting templates we created a template for digital presentation for internal and external use in order to meet all the needs of presenters.

The european flag. Against the background of blue sky, twelve golden stars in form of a circle representing the union of the people in Europe. The number twelve is unchangeable, since this number is considered as a symbol of perfection and unity. If only black is available, then the outline of the rectangle reproduce by a black line; the stars in black to use on a white background. If blue is the only color (in this case to be used in Reflex Blue), it should be printed at 100% as background with the stars reproduced in negative white.
An Alternative Mining Concept The use of the european flag. The emblem should preferably mapped on a white background. A surrounded multicolored background is not recommended, especially if it is blue. Where a colored background can not be avoided, use a Rectangle surrounded by a white border, the width should correspond to 1/25 of its height. The emblem is on the head. Misalignment of the stars.
