Introduction Welcome to AT&T Connect Mobile and iphone. AT&T Connect provides tools for visual presentation, remote collaboration, and voice conferencing. This best of breed virtual meeting space lets you easily share voice and data using existing Internet and telephone resources. With your iphone, you can now attend and start AT&T Connect conferences, view the Participant list, exchange notes with other participants, share emoticons, see who is speaking or raising their hands, and share whiteboard content. This User Guide shows you how do all of this and more. Enjoy! What You Need All you need for using AT&T Connect Mobile and iphone is: An iphone with software version 3.0 and higher An active 3G cellular network or WiFi connection Downloading the AT&T Connect Mobile Application Download the AT&T Connect Mobile application from the App Store from this link: http://itunes.apple.com/webobjects/mzstore.woa/wa/viewsoftware?id=318798264&mt=8 You will see the AT&T Connect icon on your Home screen. Joining a Conference You can join a conference from an email invitation or from a scheduled meeting in the iphone Calendar. Join a Conference by Email 1. Open the Mail application. 2. In your email invitation, click on the link under the instructions that say To connect to the Web Conference. The AT&T Connect Mobile application opens and starts connecting you to the conference. 4

Join a Conference from the Calendar 1. Open the iphone Calendar application. 2. Locate the meeting (conference) and click on the link to enter. The AT&T Connect Mobile application opens and starts connecting you to the conference. Enter Your Details in the My Details Screen The first time you enter a conference, you are asked to provide your details in the My Details screen. Here you specify your name as it will appear to all other participants in the conference. You also specify the phone number for the conference service to call you. You can edit these details whenever you open the AT&T Connect Mobile application, and you don t need to be in a conference to do so. 5

1. From the AT&T Connect Home screen, tap My Profile and then tap My Details 2. Tap in the area you want to fill in to open the keyboard. 3. Fill in your name, email address and telephone number. 4. Tap Save. Note For your telephone number, enter the country code, area code and the local phone number, in that order (for example, 1 212 555 0123). Use the Call Me Feature to Connect Your Audio If your company has enabled the Call Me feature, when you are connecting to the conference, you will be asked how you wish to connect to the audio segment of the conference. If you would like AT&T Connect to call you, please do the following: 6

1. Tap Call Me. You will be instructed to go to Home screen and reopen the AT&T Connect Mobile application after accepting the call. 2. Tap OK. Your phone will ring. Answer the call and dial 1 to join the conference (according to the operator s instructions). You are now connected to the conference with audio. 3. Tap on the Home button of your iphone. Tap on the AT&T Connect icon in the Home screen to reconnect to the conference data. You are now connected to the conference with audio and data. Dial in to Enter the Conference If your company has not enabled the Call Me feature, a picker with available dial in locations will be opened. 1. Choose a location nearest to you and tap the Call button. After making the call you will be instructed to go to the Home screen to reopen AT&T Connect application. 2. Tap OK. You are now connected to the conference with audio. 3. Tap on the Home button of your iphone. Tap on the AT&T Connect icon in the Home screen to reconnect to the conference data. You are now connected to the conference with audio and data. 7

Reconnecting Audio If your audio was disconnected, you can reconnect from the Conference or Participants tabs. The audio connection will be initiated in the same way as when you enter the conference. Reconnect your audio If your audio was disconnected during the conference, you can re connect it. Tap on the Connect button in the Conference tab. or Tap on the Audio button in the Participants Tab. You are informed that your audio is disconnected and a Connect button is displayed. Starting a Conference You can start a conference via the AT&T Connect Mobile iphone application. Important! In order to start a conference, you need to activate your account. The registration email that you received from the system contains an activation link. Clicking this link automatically activates your account. 1. To start a conference, tap on the Enter my Meeting Room button in the Home screen of the application. 8

2. If you have not already activated your AT&TConnect account on your iphone device, you will be asked to manually fill in your account address, username and password. 3. To dial in to the conference, follow the steps in the above section, Dial in to Enter the Conference. Note If you have more than one account, tap on the orange arrow in the Enter my Meeting Room button and then select the account you wish to use for conducting your conference. When you enter the conference, the word Host is added to your name in the Participant tab. 9

After starting the conference you can invite others by email and phone directly from the AT&T Connect Mobile Application. For more information, see Use the Participants Menu. Participating in a Conference Once you are connected to the conference, you can easily access the Participants, Notes, Whiteboard and tabs by tapping the icons at the bottom of each screen. What You Can SEE in AT&T Connect Mobile See How Many Participants are in the Conference Look at the number in the Participants tab at the bottom of the tab. See How Many Unread Notes You Received Look at the number in the Notes tab at the bottom of the screen. See the Audio Status of the Participants Look at the microphone icons to the right of the participant s names. Audio Icons Icon State What does this mean? Audio not The participant cannot speak since audio is disabled. available 10

Audio available Speaking The participant can speak in the conference. Tapping on the icon toggles to muted. The participant is currently speaking. You can also see the name of the current speaker in the Now Speaking box See the Moods and Opinions of the Participants Look at the emoticons to the right of the audio status icons. To learn more about using emoticons, see Use Emoticons to Express Your Mood, Opinion and More. See How Many Participants are Raising their Hands to Speak Look at the number in the raised hand icon above the emoticons. Note You can see exactly which participants are raising their hands by the raised hand emoticon to the right of their names. What You Can DO in AT&T Connect Mobile Mute or Unmute Your Microphone Tap on the Mute/Unmute button to mute your microphone. or Tap on the Mute/Unmute button to unmute your microphone. Go faster Go slower Step out Step in Curious Happy Unhappy 1. Tap the Emoticon button next to the Mute/Unmute button to display the Add Emoticon picker. 2. Choose the emoticon that suits your state of mind and tap the Post button. The Emoticon button changes to the state you chose. 3. To clear the emoticon, tap on and then tap the Clear button. Step out and Step in to the Conference If you need a break, you can notify the participants that you are temporarily stepping out of the conference. 1. Tap the Emoticon button next to the Mute/Unmute button to display the Add Emoticon picker. 12

2. Select the Step Out emoticon and tap the Post button. The Emoticon button changes to Step Out. 3. To return to the conference, tap on and then select the Step In emoticon from the Add Emoticon picker. The Emoticon button back to its original state. goes Raise Your Hand You can raise your hand to indicate to the host that you wish to speak in the conference. 1. Tap the Emoticon button next to the Mute/Unmute button to display the Add Emoticon picker. 2. Select the Raise Hand emoticon and tap the Post button. The Emoticon button changes to the Raise Hand icon. Note Look at the icon to the right of the speaker s name participants are raising their hands (including you). to see how many Participate in a Poll Your presenter may want you and all the other participants to voice your opinion about an issue in a poll. Presenters send the poll in the AT&T Connect Participant Application on their PC and when they ask you a question, you will be prompted for a response. To participate in a poll: Tap Yes or No, Ignore or OK, depending on the type of question the presenter asks. The results of the poll are registered in the presenter s AT&T Connect Participant Application. 13

View Content on the Whiteboard You can view any content that the Presenter displays on the whiteboard (including shared applications, PowerPoint slides, Web pages and poll results). The whiteboard can be viewed in both portrait and landscape mode by moving your iphone. 1. When content is ready for viewing, tap on the Whiteboard button to open the Whiteboard tab. 14

2. To view the content in the full screen without the control buttons, you can doubletap to zoom in and then double tap to zoom out. Or, pinch your fingers together or apart. Note The Whiteboard icon with the arrows means that new content is currently being shared on the whiteboard. Otherwise, the icon looks like this: Take a Screen Capture You can take a screen capture of the whiteboard content that the presenter is currently sharing (PowerPoint slides, documents, images, Web pages, and so on). The screen capture is automatically saved on your iphone device in the Photos. To take a screen capture, tap on the camera icon in the top left corner of the Whiteboard tab. See Your Account Details If you have already set up your account(s) in the AT&T Connect application, your account(s) are listed in the account screen that you access by tapping on the name of the account under AT&T Connect Accounts in the My Profile screen. For information on adding and deleting accounts, see Add/Delete AT&T Connect Accounts. Get Connection Details about the Participants You can see how other participants are connected to the conference with these icons. Connection Icons 15

The User Info screen opens with the connection details and the actions available to the user during a conference. For more information on the actions, see Use the Participants Menu. Get Information about the AT&T Connect Mobile Application Information Button 1. To open the About screen, tap on the information button in the upper right corner of the AT&T Connect Home screen (when you are offline). 16

or Tap on the information button in the Conference tab (when you are online). The About screen opens with the version number of the AT&T Connect Mobile application and a portal for accessing legal information. 2. Wipe 2010 AT&T Intellectual Property or License Agreement to obtain the information. Note If you have a problem with your Internet connection, the information will not be available. 3. To close the About screen, tap on the Done button. Report a Problem If you come across a problem with the AT&T Connect application on your iphone, you can send your logs to the AT&TConnect support center and add a description. 1. Tap on the information button in the upper right corner of the AT&T Connect Home screen to open the About screen. 2. Tap on Report a Problem in the About screen. 17

3. Type in a description of your problem. Your logs are automatically attached to the problem report. 4. If you don t want to attach your logs, tap on the check mark to the right of Attach My Logs. 5. Tap the Send button. Note Be sure to read the legal notice before sending your report. Learn More Portal You can get lots more information about AT&T Connect Mobile on your iphone from the Web. 1. In the AT&T Connect Home screen, tap Learn More to open the Learn More portal. 18

2. Tap on Product Information, How To and FAQ to open the Web pages and learn everything you need to know. 3. Tap the Back button to return to the Home screen. Note If you have a problem with your Internet connection, the information will not be available. View Conference Information You can view conference information (conference name and ID, and the connection status) any time during the conference. To view the conference information, tap on the Conference tab. 19

Add/Delete AT&T Connect Accounts Add an Account 1. In the Home screen, tap on My Profile to open the My Profile screen, and tap on Add Account to open the Add Account screen. 2. Fill in your account details: Account Address User Name Password The new account is automatically set as the default account. 20

3. If you don t wish this to be the default account, tap on the ON button in the Set as default box and this option will be set to OFF. (The Set as Default option appears only if you have more than one account defined.) 4. Tap the Save button. The account details are validated and saved and the account is added under AT&T Connect Accounts in the My Profile screen. Note The registration email that you received from the system contains an activation link. Clicking this link activates your account and automatically fills in your account details. Delete an Account 1. Tap the account you wish to delete in the My Profile screen under AT&T Connect Accounts. This opens the screen with the account details. 2. Tap the Delete Account button. The account is removed from AT&T Connect Accounts in the My Profile screen. Use the Participants Menu You can perform many operations from the Participants Menu in the Participants tab. The options in the Menu change according to the role of the user. This means that the host/presenter has different options than a regular participant. Tap on the Menu button in the Participants tab to see all your options. 21

Send Note to All (Available to all users) Tap Send Note to All to send a note to all the conference participants. This opens a new Note page or an on going Note page addressed to ALL. The cursor is placed in the message area so you can start typing your note. For more information on sending notes, see Using Notes. Tap Back (on the Notes page) to brings you back to the menu page. Mute All (Available to the host/presenter only) Tap the Mute All button to mute the participants (except for muting initiator). A message pops up informing you that all the participants were muted (this can include the host and presenter as well). Unmute All (Available to the host/presenter only) Tap the Unmute All button to unmute the participants, host and presenter. A message pops up informing you that all the participants were unmuted. Invite Others by Email (Available to all users) Tap the Invite Others by Email button to invite participants to your conference by email. This opens an email window with an invitation containing the conference details. 22

Add the address(es) of the participants you wish to invite in the To: row and tap Send. Invite Others by Phone (May be available to hosts/presenters only) 1 Tap Invite Others by Phone to invite participants to your conference by phone. This opens the Invite by Phone window for filling in the name and number of the participant you want to invite to your conference. 2 Tap Invite to dial out to the invited participant. 23

If this option is available, you can also add participants from your contact list in the mail application. 1 Tap Invite Others by Phone to invite participants to your conference by phone. 2 Tap Add From Contacts in the Invite by Phone screen. This opens the All Contacts iphone page. 3 Tap on the contact you wish to call. 24

This opens the Info iphone page with the contact s phone numbers. 4 Tap the number you wish to use for the call (home, mobile or iphone). The Info page closes and the name and number are filled in the Invite by Phone screen. 5 Tap Invite. Take Presenting Rights (Available to hosts only) Tap the Take Presenting Rights button to take the presenting rights from the presenter. A message pops up informing you that you are now the presenter. Give Presenting Rights (Available to the current presenter) 25

Tap the Give Presenting Rights button to give the presenting rights to another conference participant. This opens the Participants list with the participant names only. Tap on the participant you wish to give presenting rights to. This highlights the participant s row in orange, closes the Participants list, and returns you to the menu. Lock Conference Tap on the OFF toggle button in the Lock Conference button to prevent other participants from entering the conference. The button toggles to ON meaning that the conference is locked. When conference is locked, users will not be able to join the conference. End Conference Tap on the End Conference button to end the conference and disconnect the participants. A message pops up asking for confirmation. This will terminate the conference and disconnect all users from the conference. Leave the Conference from the Participants Tab 1. Tap on the Logout button in the upper left corner of the Participants tab. 2. Tap Yes when you are asked if you want to log out. Note Logging out of the application does not hang up your phone from the conference. To hang up, open the iphone application and tap on the End Call button. Leave the Conference from the iphone Home Button Tap on the iphone Home button. Terminate the Audio 1. Tap on to open the iphone phone application. 2. Tap on the End Call button to terminate the call. 26

Using Notes From the Notes tab, you can send notes to other participants, as well as view the notes that participants sent you during the conference. You can continue previous conversations anytime during a conference. Your notes remain in the Notes tab until you delete them. Send a Note to One or All of the Participants from the Notes Tab 1. Tap on the Notes tab in the AT&T Connect Mobile application. 2. Tap on the button in the Notes tab to open the New Note screen. 27

3. Tap on the button in the New Note screen to open the Add Participants tab. 4. Select the participant(s) that you want to send the note to by tapping on the selection button to the left of the participant s name. A appears next to the selected name. or To select all the participants, tap on the ALL selection button under To All Participants. 5. Tap the Save button. This returns you to the New Note screen with the name of the participant in the To line. 28

6. Tap the area for entering your text, type your message, and tap the Send button. The text of your note appears in a grey balloon in your Notes tab. Send a Note to One of the Participants from the Participant List 1. Tap on the name of a participant in the Participant list that you want to send a note to. This opens the User Info screen. 2. Tap on the Send Note button. This returns you to the New Note screen with the name of the participant in the To line. 29

3. Tap the area for entering your text, type your message, and tap the Send button. The text of your note appears in a grey balloon in your Notes tab. Receive a Note When someone sends you a note, you will hear a sound on your mobile. In the Notes tab, unread notes appear with a blue dot to the left of the sender s name of the screen.. The most recently received note appears at the top 1. Tap on the Notes button to open the Notes tab. 30

2. Wipe the arrow to open the note. The text of the notes you receive appear in an orange balloon. Reply to a Note Type in your reply, and tap the Send button. Delete a Note 1. Tap the Edit button in the upper left corner of the Notes tab. A selection button appears to the left of the notes in the Notes list.. 2. Tap the selection button(s) of the notes that you want to delete. The selection button changes to and the Delete button appears to the right of the note(s). 3. Tap on the Delete button. You are then asked for confirmation. 4. Tap the Clear Conversation button. 5. Tap the Done button (which replaced the Edit button in the upper left corner of the Notes tab ). 31
