The system involves unique combination of smart elog multifunction devices acting in addition as intelligent nodes in a two way powerline mesh network for data routing resulting for best communication coverage performance. communication technology with a multi functional acting as a smart end device which is configured via an concentrator terminal the DCT-11 a gateway for up to 1024 elog devices for a full network, or by a central PC computer interfacing with the network by an external powerline modem for internal customer control. Technology overview The key of the system is the two way powerline communication technology for wiring reduction, based on a spread spectrum DSP (Digital Signal Processing) hardware, with an intelligent dynamic mesh networking solution by involving the elog devices as smart repeaters for data relaying, which is featuring an excellence coverage performance. The mesh networking is a multi master collision detection CSMA/CA home bus oriented protocol meeting the CENELEC 50065-1/2 standard for band and immunity interference. The device is able to interface with other device interfacing by an RS232 or RS485 port as a transparency protocol powerline modem. Cooling and heating for a central unit is controlled to a pleasant human temperature level eliminating irregular settings mistakes in conventional thermostats.

Temperature level is automatically compensated to different levels on day or night hours or according to a multi tariff structure scenario. For example at high tariff rates, lowest cooling temperature is limited to a pleasant window knowing that every 1 C of higher temperature level brings a 5% of energy saving. Light controlling depends on sensing occupancy infrared or ultrasonic sensors, cutting off lights for unused areas or dimming locations for time periods and priorities in hotels. The elog device is interfacing to any solid state meter with pulse outlet for delivering energy consumption reading and analysis reports according to multi tariff structure for optimization planning. The system supported a password level protection of mode and parameters changes by unauthorized users. The central applicable run time package runs under WINDOWS environment with user friendly driving menus. Software facility is based on four main models: configuration editor and remote download, reading and on-line control execution, data base analysis, backup and export files and on line system test fault status for maintenance procedures.
