As an SDE Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to work in one of our corporate office across Bristol, Cambridge, London or Scotland. You will build your skills over a 48 month period. Alongside extensive development of your technical skills, you will also grow your abilities in crucial complementary areas like organization, prioritization, data analysis and problem solving techniques, teamwork, communication, and presentation skills. Over the 48 months you will learn how technical requirements to select and specify appropriate technology solutions. IT- Management for Business (degree) Scotland only On this 48 month graduate apprenticeship scheme based in our development center in Scotland you will be part of the Global IT organization which supports growth through the implementation of technology solutions including: desktop productivity tools, systems, network and telephony infrastructure, and company-wide technology programs such as capacity planning and availability. During your first year you will cover modules such as Interactive Systems, Software Development 1, Business skills, Enterprise and its Business Environment and continue to learn across the duration of the scheme while working alongside professionals and day release studying at a local university. The scheme will help you develop skills in; IT Consultancy IT System Operation IT System Management IT Network Planning and Control IT Project Management gain MA (Hons) IT Management for Business. IT - Infrastructure Technician and Network Engineering/Project Management- Level 3 and Level 4 Apprenticeship On this 36 month scheme (30 months for Scotland) you will be working with systems and technology focused on delivering the highest service and delighting our end customer. Alongside extensive development of your technical skills, you will also grow your abilities in crucial, complementary areas like organization, scheduling, communication and presentation skills. During your first year you will be introduced to the fundamental technical skills you need to become a successful Amazon IT employee. Covering Networking and Architecture, Mobile Operating Systems, Cloud Services, Business Process and Coding. Higher Apprenticeship Project Management L4 (equivalent to first year of degree study) in England Or Network Engineer Level 4 apprenticeship (equivalent to first year of degree study) in England or SQA SCQF 8 Diploma in ICT and Telecommunications Professional in Scotland Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012 R2 Amazon Web Services Cloud qualifications Plus, after graduating from the IT apprentice program, you ll be fully qualified to apply to join our IT team permanently in any of a number of different roles as you embark on an exciting career as an IT professional. Engineering Automation Engineering Degree Apprenticeship Join us as an Automation Engineering Apprentice and you ll combine studying for a degree with hands-on practical training in both general engineering basics as well as PLC controls specialisms. The first year of your apprenticeship you will gain hands-on practical training on a residential basis, where you will also begin to study towards a HND in Electrical & Electronics engineering. In years 2 and 3 you will complete your HND on a block release basis whilst working alongside our Automation Engineers in one of our fulfilment centres. In year 4 of your apprenticeship you will complete a work based automation project and attend a University on block release to achieve a BEng degree in Controls and Automation. As well as gaining commercial and professional experience you will also achieve academic and vocational qualifications. Siemens levels 1, 2 and 3 PLC programming courses HND in Electrical & Electronics engineering BEng Degree in Controls Engineering Control/Technical Support (Degree) Apprenticeship Plus after graduating you will be fully qualified to take up a role of an Automation Engineer within the engineering team and embark on an exciting career. Engineering - Mechatronics Advanced Apprenticeship During your first year you will be based at a technical training center on a residential basis, learning the engineering basics that you will need in your role with us. Outside of college term times you ll enrich your studies by working alongside members of our skilled workforce in one of our fulfillment centers. From your second to forth year you will continue your academic studies either on a day or block release basis. 3

Not only will you receive invaluable technical and professional experience, you will also gain a number of academic and vocational qualifications that will lead to you achieving the Engineering Technician (Mechatronics Pathway) advanced apprenticeship. Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence) Level 3 Btec Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Level 3 Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge) HNC Engineering (route specific) Modern Apprenticeship in Engineering (Maintenance) at SCQF Level 6 (Scotland) Plus after graduating you will be fully qualified to take up a role as a RME Technician within the engineering team and embark on an exciting career. Operations Fulfilment Business Improvement Techniques Apprenticeship You will be working with operation teams focused on delivering the highest service and delighting our end customer. You will be trained on our process paths and you will also grow your abilities in crucial, complementary areas like safety first, problem solving and communication. During the scheme you will be introduced to the fundamental operational excellence modules and will work towards a Level 2 apprenticeship in Business Improvement Techniques. Covering effective team working, workplace organization & visual management, problem solving, continuous improvement (Kaizen) you will also work on projects to demonstrate and apply your learning for assessment. All workshops will be delivered in your FC/or FC node by our training provider. also gain qualifications: 13 month program Level 2 Business Improvement Techniques (both a Technical Certificate and an NVQ); Apprenticeship Framework Certificate in Business Improvement Techniques *Modern Apprenticeship framework in Industrial applications SCQF Level 5 REQUIREMENTS TO JOIN ONE OF OUR SCHEMES Basics required to be able to apply for a scheme You will need to be 18 years of age when the actual scheme starts (or 17 and a half for the Engineering apprenticeships) You will need have lived in the EU or an EEA country for the last 3 years Proof of residency or visa to work in the UK for a minimum of the duration of the apprenticeship that you are applying for Have the relevant qualifications for the scheme in which you wish to apply for You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level than the apprenticeship you are applying for or in a similar subject 4

Be flexible to work shifts as required (apprentices predominately work a day shift) Attend one of our assessment centres on the dates provided Be able to travel to other locations to attend training courses For the engineering schemes you should be willing to attend full time at a college or training centre for the first year in on a residential basis (accommodation will be provided at no cost to you) Qualifications required to apply: The Software Development Scheme You ll need 3 A levels (or equivalent) at C or above and one being in a STEM related subject, or International Baccalaureate at Level 3 in a similar subject,a level 3 apprenticeship in a similar subject, Or a BTEC Extended Diploma in a similar subject (180 credits). You must also have some coding experience via certification or self-taught. The IT Apprenticeship Scheme You ll need 5 GCSE s (or equivalent) at C grade or Grade 4 9 or above, which must include Mathematics, English and a Science or a Technology subject and you will also have 2 A levels at C or above in IT, Mathematics, Physics or other STEM subjects, or you will have a STEM related HNC/D. For Scotland you will need to aged 18-24. IT Business Management Scheme You ll need 4 Scottish Highers or equivalent including a STEM related subject. Applicants who have already studied or achieved a degree level qualification are still eligible to apply if it leads to a higher level of qualification or a new area of learning. The Automation Engineering Apprenticeship Scheme You ll need 2 A levels (or equivalent) at C or above in either Mathematics, IT, Physics, or an Engineering related subject, or have completed a BTEC level 3 engineering qualification of 180 credits which must include further mathematics, or have an Engineering HNC/D qualification. The Mechatronics Apprenticeship Scheme You ll need 5 GCSE s (or equivalent) at C grade or Grade 4 9 or above, which must include Mathematics, English and a Science or Technology subject. Alternatively you will have, or be studying towards, a BTEC level 3 engineering qualification of 120 credits or more. The Operations Fulfilment Business improvement Techniques Scheme Ideally you will have 2 GCSEs (or equivalent) at C grade or Grade 4-9 or above in English and Maths. We will consider applications from candidates who have not achieved these but can demonstrate the appropriate level of ability at the initial assessments tests. Online Application 5

You will be able to make your application for any of the apprenticeships at www.amazon.jobs/apprentcies. *Please note that the application window for the engineering apprenticeships is typically February to April annually and the other apprenticeships will typically open for recruitment during the month of March. Online Psychometric Tests Impress us with your application and you may be invited to take a series of reasoning tests. Logical reasoning, mathematic ability, communication skills and mechanical comprehension may all play a part. Don t worry, you will be given a number of days to do them and guidance to help you prepare. Assessment Centre If you meet the standards on the psychometric and *technical tests (*if applicable) you may be invited to an assessment event where you will be assessed along with other candidates on the day so make sure that you stand out. You will take part in a number of activities and an interview, so think about what we might ask you and the answers that you could give us. Assessment centres will normally take place in between April-June The Decision You will hear the outcome soon after attending the assessment event. Scheme will start across July September.Good luck! What to expect if you re successful Competitive Pay: As well as very competitive pay for earning as you re learning, you ll also be given a fixed term contract for the duration of the apprenticeship scheme. Plus, after graduating from an Apprenticeship at Amazon, you ll be fully qualified to apply to join our teams permanently in any of a number of different roles as you embark on a challenging and exciting career. Qualifications: Amazon provides on-the-job training and experience but with an apprenticeship you will also learn off the job from structured academic training and be provided with supporting tools such as learning portals and online support. You will be supported through ongoing assessments by the training provider, your line manager and your team. Onboarding: All apprentices will be invited to an onboarding event which will provide you with an overview of Amazon, the apprenticeship scheme and working at Amazon. You will also meet the training provider who will be delivering the training and will provide you access to portals, key dates and other important information to support your journey. All apprentices will receive a mentor and be supported by experts inside and outside of Amazon. 7
