ipad Guide This guide will take you through the steps required to connect and use the mobile printing system on your ipad. *Please note that you will need to be connected to the UniSA wireless network (not Eduroam) Connecting your ipad Step 1: Mobile printing requires the PrinterOn for AirWatch app which is available from the itunes App Store (you can also download and install here). It is a free app. Open the app from your device screen, PrinterOn for AirWatch will ask you to login. Use your University login credentials. NOTE: Do not use the PrinterOn V3.0 app (see icon below) which is also available, it does not work on our network. Step 2: At the first screen you can then start to set up Tap on More, then on the next screen select Settings.
Step 3: On the settings screen enter your University username and password, make sure Use in requests in switched to On. Step 4: Go to Search icon to add UniSA printers by typing unisa in the search box at the top of the screen, and then tapping Search on the keyboard. You can also tap the search icon. then see a list of available printers. You will Tap on the printer(s) you require. Step 5: At the top right of the screen you will see a folder icon, tap this and then tap Save.
Step 6: Go to the My Printers tab to make sure that your printer(s) have been added. Deleting A Printer Go to the My Printers tab and tap on the printer you want to remove. Tap the folder icon From the pop up screen tap Delete and the printer is deleted.
Printing from your ipad You are only able to print photos and websites from within the app, however an embedded link to PrinterOn will be available from within other third party apps such as Adobe Reader, Email and Microsoft Office apps to allow you to print from them. Printing an email attachment Step 1: Open the email attachment Tap the Actions icon. Step 2: Tap the Open in PrinterOn for AirWatch icon.
Step 3: Tap My printers Step 4: Tap to highlight your printer of choice. Tap Print. Step 5: Your print job will then be counted and processed. Once completed, tap Done. Go to the printer to release the print job.
Printing a document The example uses Adobe Acrobat, but the process is the same for other file types. Step 1: Open the app you require and open the document to be printed. Tap the Actions icon. Step 2: Tap Open In. Step 3: Tap the Open in PrinterOn for AirWatch icon.
Step 4: Tap My Printers Step 5: Tap to highlight your printer of choice. Tap Print. Step 6: Your print job will then be counted and processed. Once completed, tap Done. Go to the printer to release the print job.
Printing a Photograph Step 1: Open PrinterOn for AirWatch. Tap Photos Tap Camera Roll to access your photos. Step 2: Select your photo of choice by tapping on it. At the next screen press Select. Step 3: Tap on your choice of printer from the list on the left of the screen. Tap Print
Step 4: Your print job will then be counted and processed. Once completed, tap Done. Go to the printer to release the print job. Printing a web page Step 1: Open PrinterOn for AirWatch. Tap on Print tab at the bottom of the screen. Tap Web Step 2: Type in the address of the web page you want to print. Press Go on the keyboard to access the web page.
Step 3: Tap the Print icon at the base of the screen Step 4: Tap on your choice of printer from the list on the left of the screen. Tap Print Step 5: Your print job will then be counted and processed. Once completed, tap Done. Go to the printer to release the print job.
