Make a phone call 1. From the home screen, tap the phone icon. 2. If the person you want to call is in your contacts, tap contacts and search for them. 3. If they are not in your contacts, tap keypad and enter in the number like you would on a standard telephone. After entering the number, tap the green button to place the call. 7
Send a text message 1. From the home screen, tap the messages icon. 2. To draft a new message, tap the square icon with a pencil over it, located on the top right of your screen. 3. Enter the recipient s phone number or tap the + to find it in your contacts. 4. To draft the message, tap the blank bar in the middle of your screen and type on the keyboard. 5. Hit send to send the message. 8
Surf the web 1. From the home screen, tap the web browser icon. 9
Surf the web 1. Enter a web address or search term at the top of the webpage. www.att.com 2. To navigate between webpages you ve visited, use the forward and back arrows in the bottom left corner of your screen. 3. To access bookmarks use the buttons in the bottom right corner of your screen. 10
Take a photo/video 1. Tap the Camera icon. 11
Take a photo/video 1. Tap the Camera icon. 2. Point the smartphone at what you d like to photograph. 3. When you are ready to take a picture, tap the white button at the bottom of the screen. 4. To take video, swipe from left to right on the screen. Did you know? Most smartphones have zoom and flash just like real cameras! 12
Check email 1. Configure your pre-existing email account to the smartphone. 2. To check your email, tap the Mail icon. 13

Tap the inbox from which you d like to see the email messages you have received. 4. To write an email, tap the square icon with a pencil over it, located on the bottom right of your screen. 14
Download an app 1. Select the app marketplace icon for apps of interest. 15
