Introduction When downloaded from itunes or Google Play and installed, the allows you to create, send and manage Broadcast E-Alerts from a smart phone or mobile device. With direct integration into Centricity2, you can also enjoy the benefits of Outreach on a desktop device as well. To use this app, you must have a user account that includes permission to create Broadcast E-Alerts. ORGuide_032715 1
E-Alert Types The Broadcast E-Alert types include Email, Text Message, Phone Call, Push Notifications, Announcements, Facebook and Twitter. Depending upon the type you select, you can send alerts to specific groups of users, users specified on Contact Lists, a Announcement App or as a Facebook and Twitter post. 2 ORGuide_032715
Onboarding The very first time you launch the on your smart phone or mobile device, you experience Onboarding, a process you use to set up and launch the app. You navigate a series of screens to complete process. Find and Select your School District Use this screen to locate your school district. 1. Launch the. 2. Enter all or part of your district name. 3. Tap Search. Your district name displays. 4. Tap the field to select your district. Sign In to your Site Use this screen to sign in to the. 5. Enter your Username and Password. Tap the ABC control on to display your password as text. Tap it off to display your password as a series of asterisks. 4 ORGuide_032715
The very first time you sign in to your site using either a smart or desktop device, you are required to accept the Terms of Use. Review the Terms of Use and tap I Accept to continue. Choose your Default If you are satisfied using the District Site as your default site, tap Continue on the Choose your Default screen. If you wish to change the default, use this screen to select a different one. ORGuide_032715 5
Here s how you choose a default site. 6. Tap the Gear icon. A list of sites displays. 7. Tap the site that you wish to set as your default. If you have a long list of sites, enter as much of the name of the site that you wish to select as necessary in Find a Site for it to display in the list. Tap the Back X icon to delete characters. 8. Using the to Send Broadcast E-Alerts Once you Onboard and sign in, you are ready to use the to send alerts. Create and Send an Alert Here s how you create and send an alert. 1. Tap Create Alert. 2. Enter a name for the alert and tap Next >. ORGuide_032715 7
3. Tap and select the alert types you wish to send. Selections are highlighted. Once Alert types are selected, you will tap MESSAGE, RECIPIENTS and DELIVERY to complete the Broadcast E-Alert. At any time, tap Save to retain the alert as a draft. 8 ORGuide_032715

6. Tap the Gear icon to select recipients. Depending upon the alert types selected, you may select recipients using groups and contact lists. If you tap Add Groups, tap the groups you wish to select. If you tap Add Contact Lists, tap the lists you wish to select. Tap Done. Note that you can include both group and contact list recipients. 10 ORGuide_032715
If the alert type is Announcements, tap Announcement to see a list of available Announcement apps to which you may post. Tap the app you wish to select. If the alert type is Facebook or Twitter, there is no need to select recipients posts are delivered to the accounts to which your site is connected. 7. Tap DELIVERY. Complete the Sender name and Sender Email fields. By default, the Priority of the alert is set to Normal. Tap Emergency, High or Low to change the priority. By default, Schedule is set to Save Draft. You may change the scheduling to Send Later or Send Now. If you tap Send Later, tap Select Date. A dialog displays you use to set the delivery date. Once you choose a date tap the time to change the default delivery time. If you select and tap Send Now, the alert is processed for delivery. ORGuide_032715 11
Alert Type Specifics Depending upon the alert type and combinations of types selected, the screens you use to complete the alert may vary. Here are the screens you see for each specific type of alert. Email For an Email alert type, you need to complete Subject and Long Message on the MESSAGE screen. You select recipients using groups or contact lists on the RECIPIENT screen. Text Message For a Text Message alert type, you need to complete Short Message on the MESSAGE screen. You select recipients using groups or contact lists on the RECIPIENT screen. Push Notification For a Push Notification alert type, you need to complete Short Message on the MESSAGE screen. You can send the notification to selected recipients by using groups and contact lists; or, you can choose to send the notification to everyone having a registered mobile device on the RECIPIENT screen. Announcements For an Announcement alert type, you need to complete Subject and Long Message on the MESSAGE screen. Tap Announcements on the RECIPIENTS screen and select the specific Announcement app to which you wish to post the announcement. 12 ORGuide_032715
Phone Call For a Phone Call alert type, if using the Phone Call Use Long Message option, you need to complete Long Message on the MESSAGE screen. The Long Message text you enter is converted to an audio message. If you tap Record Message, tap Record Now, follow the screen prompts and record your message. If you tap Select Existing, tap Select Now and choose a pre-recorded message. You may Listen to and Change your message before sending it. Select specific recipients using groups and contact lists on the RECIPIENT screen. Facebook For a Facebook alert type, you need to complete Long Message on the MESSAGE screen. No selection is required on the RECIPIENTS screen the message is posted to the Facebook account to which your site is connected. Twitter For a Twitter Alert type, you need to complete Short Message on the MESSAGE screen. No selection is required on the RCEIPIENTS screen the message is posted to the Twitter account to which your site is connected. ORGuide_032715 13
Manage Alerts and Settings You can filter your alert display, manage alerts and change your default site. Filter Alerts Here s how you filter which alerts display on your screen. 1. Launch the. By default, all Recent alerts display. 2. Tap the filter field. A list of alert statuses displays. 3. Tap a status in the list. Alerts with the selected status display. Edit a Draft Here s how you edit an alert saved as a draft. 1. Launch the. By default, all recent alerts display. 2. Filter the alerts for Drafts. 3. Tap the alert you wish to edit. 4. When complete, tap Save to retain your edits. Navigate to the DELIVERY screen and tap Send Later to schedule a delivery time for the alert or Send Now. 14 ORGuide_032715

Manage Settings You use SETTINGS to change your default site and to Sign Out of the app. Change Default Site Here s how you change your default site. This is the site from which you wish to send alerts. 1. Launch the. 2. Tap SETTINGS. 3. Tap the Gear icon to the right of the Default Site that is listed. 4. Locate a site in the list.
