SOME OF OUR ACTIVITIES

WORKING GROUP CIRCULAR & e-waste In 2016 with Participants of Green IT Amsterdam Region we started a work stream on the topic of e-waste. The two main initiatives being: (R)eStructure towards a truly circular model for datacenter equipment (R)eStructure is based on supply chain collaboration, transparency and adoption of Circular Economy principles while sharing responsibility and benefits. With (R)eStructure as a project we aim to validate opportunities, demonstrate impact in the market and provide concrete good practice cases. Green IT Amsterdam Participants collaboration with SIMS Recycling Solutions, Aliter Networks, SURFsara Circular Data Servers Regional cooperation to assess the server value chain for options to improve material flows: what is the data on reuse and refurbishment? How much raw material is recovered? What is shredded? The project identifies who is responsible for what, and what are the options for taking action. Green IT Amsterdam, Amsterdam Economic Board, EvoSwitch, Hewlet Packard Enterprise, ICT Milieu
