1 Installatin 1.1 Prir t Installatin T install the Tl successfully yu will need t ensure yu have the fllwing: Free disc space in rder t stre the Tl [current size f the Tl is arund 38Mb] T check yu have sufficient disc space, pen yur pc and view the remaining capacity [fr example - pen the My Cmputer icn in MS Windws applicatins and view prperties] Administratin rights [if required] If yu are a member f a netwrk r grup using the Tl and cntrl f drives/mapping is with a dedicated IT department, yu may need t ensure yu have Administratin Rights. T check yur access rights, duble click n the clck at the bttm right hand crner f yur screen, if using MS Windws. If the clck pens and yu are able t change the time, yu have full Administratin Rights. If yu d nt have this ability / are certain yu d nt have Administratin rights, cntact yur lcal dedicated IT department t install the Tl. Ability t unzip files. T unzip files, fllw these steps: Duble click n the zipped dcument. A WinZip wizard will appear. Click Next t cntinue. Ensure the Unzip r install frm file name.zip is selected. Click Next.
A WinZip Cautin screen may appear. If s, click yes t prceed. Yu will be presented with a WinZip Wizard Unzip file name windw. Select the Display file icns after unzipping. Click n Unzip Nw. The relevant file(s) shuld display in yur Desktp Explrer (see example screen belw fr MS Windws please nte the file name will depend n what yu are unzipping). Simply duble left click n the selected file t pen. The WinZip Wizard Unzip Cmplete windw will appear. Click Finish.
1.2 Installatin Prcedure Fr INTERNAL Users, the Funds@nalysis.Tl can be installed n yur pc/laptp by making a frmal request t FTT, via the standard prcess. If yu have any issues, please call the IT Helpdesk. This will list the unique access cde needed t dwnlad the Tl fr yur dmicile/cuntry. 1.3 Update - Mnthly Data If yu have nt accessed the Funds@nalysis.Tl in ver ne mnth, when next lgging in, yu will be prmpted with a message requesting yu carry ut a data update. T dwnlad the latest data: Ensure the Tl is pen and yu are linked t the Internet. Frm the main drp-dwn menu, select Data and Start Data update. The data update windw/bx will appear. [Nte - this update shuld take arund 60-90 secs althugh this may take lnger if yu d nt update the Tl regularly. This is als dependent n yur Internet cnnectin). The update windw/bx will clse autmatically when the data update is cmplete. 1.4 Upgrade New Versin When a new versin f the Tl is available yu must fllw these steps: Access the relevant Advisr area f yur lcal Franklin Templetn website (see sectin 1.2 abve). A new link fr the Funds@nalysis.Tl will be lcated under this dedicated Advisr area. Select the ptin fr New Versin t dwnlad an enhanced/imprved versin f Funds@nalysis.Tl t yur pc/netwrk. Fllw the n-screen instructins.
