Get Your Phone Ready > Insert the Battery 1. Remove the battery compartment cover. Press the release button and remove the battery cover from the back of the phone. 2. Insert the battery into the battery compartment and gently press down until it clicks into place. 3. Replace the battery cover. > Charge the Battery 1. Plug the phone charger into an outlet. 2. Plug the other end of the charger into the phone s charger/accessory jack. > Turn the Phone On Press and hold to turn the phone on. > Activate Your Phone If you bought a phone at a Sprint Store, it is probably activated and ready to use. If you received it by mail, it may activate automatically when you first turn it on, or you may need to follow a few simple steps. 1. Press > Web. (There is no charge to use this service during phone activation.) 2. Follow the onscreen prompts to update your profile and activate your phone. 3. Your phone should turn off and then back on. If it doesn t, press and hold to turn the phone off and then press again to turn the phone back on. 4. To confirm your activation, make a phone call. If your phone is still not activated, call Sprint Customer Service at 1-800-SPRINT1 (1-800-777-4681) from any other phone for assistance. > Switch to Spanish Menus (optional) 1. Press > Settings > Others > Language. 2. Select Español and press.
Make Your First Call Voicemail > Make Your First Phone Call 1. Enter a phone number using your keypad. (If you make a mistake while dialing, press to erase.) 2. Press. 3. When you re finished, press or close the phone. > Make a Nextel Direct Connect Call 1. Enter a Mobile + DC number or a Direct Connect number using your keypad. (If you make a mistake while dialing, press to erase.) - or - From Contacts or Recent History, select an entry containing a Mobile+DC or Direct Connect number. 2. Press and release the Direct Connect button on the side of the phone. 3. After your party has responded and you hear an incoming tone, press and hold the Direct Connect button and begin speaking after the tone. Release the button to allow the other party to speak. 4. When you re finished, press or close the phone. > Set Up Your Voicemail All unanswered calls are automatically transferred to your voicemail, even if your phone is in use or turned off. You should set up your voicemail and personal greeting as soon as your phone is activated: 1. Press and hold. 2. Follow the system prompts to create your passcode and record your name and greeting. > Retrieve Your Voicemail From your phone: To use One Touch Message Access, press and hold. To use the phone s menu, press > Messaging > Voicemail, and then press. From any other phone: 1. Dial your wireless phone number. 2. When your voicemail answers, press *. 3. Enter your passcode.
Contacts Messaging and Pictures > Save a Phone Number 1. Enter a phone number and press Options (right softkey) > Save. 2. Select New entry or Existing entry. 3. For New entry, select a category for the number (such as Mobile, Mobile + DC, Home, Work, or DC Only), enter a name, and add other information as needed. For Existing entry, select the entry, select a category, and add other information. 4. Press Done (left softkey). > Retrieve a Phone Number 1. Press Contacts (right softkey). 2. Use your navigation key to scroll through the entries, or use your keypad to enter the first few letters of the contact entry. 3. To display an entry, highlight it and press. To call the entry s default phone number, highlight it and press. > Send a Text Message 1. Press > Messaging > Send Message > Text. 2. Enter a wireless phone number or email address. 3. Use your keypad to enter a message or press Options (right softkey) to choose from preset messages or smileys. 4. Press Send (left softkey). > Take a Picture 1. Press > Pictures > Camera to activate the phone s camera. (You can also press.) 2. Using your display as a viewfinder, aim the camera lens at your subject, and press. 3. Press or to return to Camera mode, or press Options (right softkey) to explore other options, including sending the picture using Sprint Picture Mail.

Contactos Mensajería y toma de fotos > Graba un número de teléfono 1. Ingresa un número de teléfono y presiona Opciones (tecla multifuncional derecha) > Guardar. 2. Selecciona entrada nuev para crear un nuevo contacto o Ent existente para grabar el número de un Contacto que ya existe. 3. Para entrada nuev selecciona una categoría para el número (como Móvil, Móovil + DC Casa, Tarea o Sólo DC), ingresa el nombre, y agrega cualquier otra información que deseas guardar para dicho contacto. Para Ent existente selecciona el contacto y una categoría. Agrega otra información que deseas. 4. Presiona Fin (tecla multifuncional izquierda). > Recupera un número de teléfono 1. Presiona Contactos (tecla multifuncional derecha). 2. Usa tu tecla de navegación para revisar los contactos, o usa tu teclado para ingresar las primeras letras del nombre del contacto. > Envía un mensaje de texto 1. Presiona > Mensajes > Enviar Mensaje > Texto. 2. Ingresa un número de teléfono móvil o dirección de email. 3. Usa tu teclado para ingresar un mensaje o presiona Opciones (tecla multifuncional derecha) para elegir entre mensajes preseleccionados o caritas felices. 4. Presiona Enviar (tecla multifuncional izquierda). > Toma una foto 1. Presiona > Imágenes > Cámara para activar la cámara. (También puedes presionar.) 2. Usando tu pantalla como visor, apunta el lente de la cámara a tu objetivo y presiona. 3. Presiona o para volver al modo de Cámara, o presiona Opciones (tecla multifuncional derecha) para explorar otras opciones, incluyendo enviar la foto usando Fotomensajes Sprint. 3. Después de que la otra persona haya respondido la llamada inicial, cuando escuches un tono de llamada entrante, mantén presionado el botón Direct Connect y empieza a hablar después de oír el tono. Suelta el botón para dejar que la otra persona hable. 4. Para cerrar la llamada, presiona o cierra el teléfono. > Programa tu correo de voz Todas las llamadas que no sean contestadas son transferidas automáticamente a tu correo de voz, incluso si tu teléfono está en uso o apagado. Debes programar tu correo de voz y saludo personal tan pronto como tu teléfono sea activado: 1. Oprime y mantén presionado. 2. Sigue las instrucciones del sistema para crear una contraseña y grabar tu nombre y saludo. > Recupera tus mensajes Desde tu teléfono: Usando el acceso rápido a los mensajes, oprime y mantén presionado. Usando el menú, oprime > Mensajes > Correo de Voz, y luego presiona. Desde cualquier otro teléfono: 1. Marca tu número de teléfono móvil. 2. Cuando tu correo de voz conteste, presiona *. 3. Ingresa tu contraseña.
Prepara tu teléfono > Pon la batería 1. Presiona el botón situado en la parte trasera de tu teléfono para soltar la batería y retira la tapa para la batería. 2. Pon la batería dentro del compartimiento para la batería y presiona suavemente hasta que se ajuste perfectamente en su lugar. 3. Vuelve a poner la tapa para la batería. > Carga la batería 1. Conecta el cargador del teléfono en una toma de corriente. 2. Conecta el otro extremo del cargador al conector de energía/conector interfaz para accesorios del equipo. > Encienda el teléfono Oprime y mantén presionado para encender el teléfono. > Activa tu teléfono Si compraste tu teléfono en una Tienda Sprint, probablemente ya esté activado y listo para usar. Si lo recibiste por correo, podría activarse automáticamente cuando lo enciendas por primera vez, o podrías necesitar seguir algunos pasos simples. 1. Presiona > Web. (Sin cargos por el uso de este servicio durante la activación del teléfono). 2. Sigue las instrucciones que aparecen en la pantalla para actualizar tu perfil y activar tu teléfono. 3. El teléfono deberá apagarse y volverse a encender. Si no lo hace, mantén presionado para apagar el teléfono y después vuelve a mantener presionado para encenderlo nuevamente. 4. Para confirmar tu activación, realiza una llamada telefónica.
